Witt Excavating describes excavation and site-preparation work for residential and commercial projects, from land clearing, grading and foundation excavation to patios, pavers, retaining walls, drainage and dump-trailer rental. Its website names Hudson as its service area. One customer had trees delivered when their excavation plans fell through, and says Witt were the only ones willing to come out right away and help, with Dennis doing the job at a really reasonable rate. A customer who has used Witt Excavating for the past few years started with an overgrown front yard of about 10' x 25': old fence posts removed, 4-foot-high vegetation dug out and the site prepped for a patio, then asked him to install the pavers and granite curbstones too. Since then, that customer writes, other paver projects and the removal of an old driveway followed. The business also rents equipment. One customer rented a skid steer from Dennis and says they will rent from him again, and a 2026 customer wrote that they had been renting the aerator for 1-2 years. In a 2026 review, a customer said Witt Excavating installed a retaining wall, graded the yard and completed hydroseeding, and wrote that Dennis, the owner, took the time to understand their vision. A 2026 reviewer wrote that Dennis Witt and his team showed up when they said they would and got right to work.
