Wolf Rock Construction is a small full-service builder at 932 Fitchburg Rd in Greenville NH, run by Ken Spacht, who the company says has lived in Mason for over thirty years and serves as a Deputy Fire Chief there. By its own account the business began in 2004 as a plowing operation with one truck and four driveway customers; Ken and Courtney Spacht established Wolf Rock Companies in 2018, and the site claims 22 years of trading across construction and snow removal. What it is hired for is broad for its size: custom homes, additions, decks and porches, garages and barns, asphalt and metal roofing, siding, remodeling, wood flooring, painting, excavation and drainage, and driveway grading, alongside a snow-removal fleet the company says runs across southern New Hampshire from Hudson to Keene. A sibling company, Wolf Rock Wildfire Inc., does federal wildland and prescribed-fire contracting and NWCG training, and the site says it was awarded the first prescribed-fire contract New Hampshire issued to a contractor, in 2023. The customer record is genuinely thin: five reviews spanning 2022 to 2026, on which Google publishes a 4.2-star average. The most substantive positive is a 2024 detached-garage build the customer described as on time, on budget and well built, with specific requests met and good communication throughout. Three other reviews from 2022 and 2023 praise the crew and the owner's manner but describe no particular job. The complaint is the newest entry and the most detailed thing in the file. In May 2026 a customer said the company built a unit for them without following the blueprints, engaged the most expensive subcontractors at the customer's cost, left the job incomplete, and finished at more than twice the original quote. That is a scope-and-price allegation rather than a workmanship one, and no response to it appears in the evidence. A 2023 commenter in r/newhampshire recommended "wolfrock construction out of mason", saying a friend having a house built by them had nothing but positive things to say about the process. New Hampshire does not register general contractors or home-improvement contractors, so there is no state licence to check for this kind of work. Given the size of the record, the sensible steps before hiring are to get the scope and the subcontractor allowances written into a fixed-price contract, agree in writing how change orders are priced, and ask for two or three recent customers you can call.
