For jobs like those, the pattern across 2022 to 2025 reviews is consistent: crews show up on time, communicate well, and finish quickly. One customer's full porch rebuild went from demo to roof in about four days; another's 2024 exterior trim repair is described as matched precisely to the home's existing style with quality materials. Both Angi and HomeAdvisor put the aggregate at 4.6 stars across 61 ratings. But several larger, deposit-heavy jobs tell a different story. Multiple reviews from 2022 through 2025 describe Bruno taking deposits of $4,000 to $11,000 for work like a door-and-frame replacement or a full deck teardown, then going quiet for months, blaming permits or suppliers, and never finishing or refunding the money. Two of those customers say they sued and won small-claims judgments — one for $7,500 — that were still unpaid as of their most recent updates. BBB separately gives the business an F rating over three filed complaints it never answered, including one from a 77-year-old homeowner whose $4,000 door deposit sat for three months with no work started. HomeAdvisor's own listing flags the profile as under review. There's also reason to read the five-star volume with some skepticism: a cluster of nearly identical five-star reviews, all posted the same month in September 2023 with similar generic wording, looks more like a coordinated push than independent feedback. If you're considering XTend for a straightforward deck, porch, or trim job, the track record for that kind of work is solid. But given the deposit disputes and unpaid judgments, never pay a large deposit up front — insist on a written contract with milestone payments tied to completed work, and ask directly about the outstanding court judgments before handing over any money.
It has now been over three years since Bruno of X-Tend has scammed me. I have received a court judgment in my favor, and have even received a Write of Execution that the Sheriff's Office has tried to enforce, but Bruno still lies and delays and lies and will not pay back the money he took (over $10,000) without ever completing the job after taking the deck apart. He lied about needing more supplies, and never even started the rebuilding. Stay away. He is a crook, who has a court judgment against him.

Bruno and his team were so easy to work with. They built us a beautiful deck and the whole experience was extremely smooth. They are especially strong communicators with quick responses - we always knew the status of the project and all of his team were very courteous. Would highly recommend! Bruno was very polite
Xtend contracting is my "go to" team for my house painting, repair and remodeling projects. I am a repeat customer for many years including painting, various repair projects, and room remodeling. The Xtend team is experienced, highly capable, honest, and well-connected in the local industry. I highly recommend working with them!
Bruno will take your money and then do nothing for months. He will not apply for permits, and he will tell you your town/city is the problem. He will blame every delay or broken promise on circumstances outside of his own control. During that time, he will use your money to finish his other projects or (probably) pay his other bills. If you ask for your money back, he will tell you he has bought materials but never provide any proof. If you call Bruno out for his poor performance, he will gaslight you and again blame everyone but himself, including you. I decided to work with Bruno despite a few bad reviews. I figured everyone makes mistakes. But when Bruno makes them, he will not make them right. The only reason I have not pursued a lawsuit against him is that lawyers cost money and Bruno has a history of not paying the settlements against him. Maybe Bruno has improved his business practices in the year since we last interacted, but I wouldn't bet on it. Neither should you.
