1st Call Hvac Solutions LLC is a one-person HVAC operation out of Revere, run by an owner named Lorenzo — a name that shows up in almost every review the company has. The BBB lists the company as eleven years in business, though it has never sought BBB accreditation, and on Google it holds a 4.6-star average across nine ratings. Through the spring of 2025, the reviews read like word-of-mouth referrals: reviewers describe Lorenzo showing up, diagnosing an HVAC problem on the spot, working cleanly, and explaining the fix in plain terms rather than upselling. One customer, describing a second house Lorenzo had finished, said he found a way to save money by working efficiently. The tone turns in the company's most recent review, posted in June 2026: a customer reports paying $5,000 in July 2024 for a Goodman system that later failed, says Lorenzo missed two follow-up appointments and then stopped responding, and says an independent licensed technician who inspected it found improper line sizing and unsafe wiring. The same job is described again on the company's BBB page. A second, separate BBB complaint describes another job that ran late and needed rework, with the promised one-year labor warranty never honored. Before booking anything beyond a quick repair, it's worth asking Lorenzo directly for warranty terms in writing and getting a second opinion on a new installation before final payment — both complaints are about work holding up over time, not about the initial visit. For a diagnostic call or a straightforward fix, the reviews are consistently warm; for a full system replacement, the 2024 complaint is worth weighing first.
I paid Lorenzo / First Call HVAC Solutions $5,000 in July 2024 for the installation of a Goodman HVAC system. The system was sold with a 1-year labor/service warranty from the installer and a 5-year manufacturer warranty on parts. The system later failed. When I contacted him in June 2026 for service, he agreed to inspect it for a fee but failed to show up for two scheduled appointments and then stopped responding completely. I later had a licensed HVAC technician inspect the system, and they identified serious installation defects, including improper line sizing and unsafe electrical conditions, and refused to repair it due to safety concerns. Despite the warranties provided at the time of sale and multiple good-faith attempts to resolve the issue, there has been no response, no service, and no resolution.
Never posted a review in my entire life. I moved to the area and took a shot on Lorenzo after meeting several other HVAC providers. The one comment that stuck with me that he made during the walk through was “Only solutions, never problems!” I went with Lorenzo and it was the best decision ever. He is incredible clean, punctual and great to work with. I am not on house #2 that Lorenzo finished up. He crushed it and actually found a way to save me money by being purely creative / efficient. Great company at 1st Call.
