617 Boston Movers

617 Boston Movers is a Boston-based moving company offering local, long-distance, commercial and residential moves plus packing and storage across Massachusetts and beyond, out of a Condor Street location in East Boston. The business is a member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and carries an A grade from the Better Business Bureau. Reviewers describe a crew that treats fragile and sentimental items with real care: one homeowner worried about glass display boards that crack easily got them moved without damage, another's fiddle-leaf fig plant was kept warm and upright on a long-distance move to Washington, DC, and a third reviewer's vinyl record collection was packed separately at their request. The team also shows up prepared for difficult conditions — one March 2026 review describes movers laying down floor covers, wrapping a mattress in plastic, and shoveling a path to the door during a snowstorm. Pricing comes up often and favorably: multiple reviewers say the final bill matched the upfront quote exactly, and a few report paying less than quoted; one reviewer noted their bill came in higher than estimated but attributed that to not fully describing the new home's layout beforehand. The crew has handled last-minute situations more than once, including a move arranged within 24 hours and a same-day reschedule after a cancellation, and reviewers across 2025 and 2026 name specific movers — John, Johnny, Oscar and Jairo among them — for staying organized on multi-hour jobs, office relocations, and moves spanning several states. For a local, long-distance, or office move around Boston, this is a well-reviewed crew known for careful handling of fragile items and upfront pricing; confirm the quote covers everything in your home, especially anything unusual, before moving day.
