A.C. Roof Repair, based in Revere, works largely as an emergency-response outfit — the same story repeats across its reviews: a leak or a torn-loose gutter, and someone (usually Theresa on the phone, Steven or Steeven on the roof) at the door the same day or even the same night. When that's the job, reviewers are consistently pleased. A 2025 review thanks Theresa and Steven for an emergency gutter repair and calls them extremely helpful and professional. A 2024 review describes a late-night emergency call answered with a full repair completed the next day at a fair price. In 2023, a customer needed a damaged roof section covered ahead of a storm and had someone on site within a short window of the call; another 2023 review from a repeat customer describes a next-day visit for a kitchen-renovation leak, with before/during/after photos and a standing warranty. A 2024 review credits the company with fixing a major tear and backing the work with a two-year guarantee through its "roof tune-up" option. A separate pattern runs through several other reviews: things start well and sour once money changes hands. A 2026 review says an initial quote grew by $5,000, that gutters were damaged during the work and then reinstalled incorrectly, that a contracted ceiling repair was never done, and that the owner stopped returning calls until reached from an unknown number. A 2023 review says the company was responsive and helpful early on but "once they have your money, they could care less," with a leak still unresolved and Teresa avoiding calls. A 2022 review describes being given no cost estimate before work started, then billed $700 for roughly 30 minutes of caulking. Another 2023 review describes the same "roof tune-up" option being pitched as a $2,100 add-on during a call about an active leak, and a 2024 review says money sent to the company by mistake over PayPal was never returned despite repeated promises. For a straightforward emergency repair, the reviews suggest a fast, capable response. For anything larger — or if the roof tune-up warranty comes up — get the price and the terms in writing before work starts or money moves.
BEWARE. This company does subpar work and will never come back if there is an issue. I should have known when we first started and was given a quote that later turned into 5k more because they were trying to get away with just putting a new roof on top of the existing. They damaged the gutters during installation, didn't come back for months after countless calls and texts and then put the new ones on incorrectly. They never came to fix the ceiling that was part of the contract and kept my deposit. The owner stopped answering my calls until I called from an unknown number and she pretended to be someone else. This last storm really shows how badly the roof and gutters were installed.
