A J Savini Construction is a small roofing and construction outfit on Greenville Street in Somerville — three employees, and going since 1986 according to its Better Business Bureau profile. Its Google listing carries a single five-star rating, and the business appears in a number of roofing directories. A company that has been working since 1986 should have local roofs to point at, so ask for a couple of recent ones nearby that you can go and look at. Ask too for their Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration number and a certificate of insurance, and get the scope, materials and warranty in writing before the job starts.
