An old corner fireplace, gone from a condo — walls, ceiling and wood floor rebuilt around the space it left, demolition debris hauled away. The homeowner who wrote that up in September 2025 said Absolute Improvement did the job for a fraction of what the other contractors they called had quoted. Artem Fandin runs the company. BuildZoom records 15 permitted Massachusetts projects for it, at a typical permit value of about $20,101, and scores the firm 100 — the 87th percentile of contractors in the state. The five people who reviewed the company in 2025 all gave it five stars. One in May described a stone patio with railings built at an entrance and finished on time; another said the crew kept them updated, handled unexpected issues without drama and held the schedule; a third said the work came in on time and within budget. One reviewer wrote that he had already hired Artem again for follow-up projects. Three directories carry the business and they do not agree on the basics. BuildZoom places it at a Running Brook Circle address in Ashland, the Better Business Bureau at Cove Way in Quincy under the name Absolute Improvements, and Angi in Needham, serving towns including Arlington, Newton, Brookline and Wellesley. Tenure splits the same way: the BBB counts 8 years in business, Angi lists 11 years of experience. All three list Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration #194915 — Angi with an expiration of May 21, 2027 — but that number comes from the listings themselves, so confirm it with the state before you sign. For a defined project — pulling out a fireplace and putting the room back, a stone patio, a renovation measured in a room rather than a whole house — the people who hired them in 2025 describe the same experience: schedule kept, surprises absorbed, a price under what others wanted. Ask Artem which address the company actually works from, and get the scope written out before the first day.

We had an old corner fireplace that we wanted removed from our condo. This involved rebuilding the walls, ceiling, and wood floor around the area, as well a demolition and cleanup. Absolute was able to get the job done at a fraction of the price of the other contractors we contacted, and with the same quality. They personally checked on the work done by any of their contractors to ensure it was high quality, and did not close out the project until all concerns were addressed. Costs were also well managed, with the project remaining on budget. I am very pleased with the results and would work with them again.
Artem is an excellent contractor who does great work and backs it up as well. I have hired him for follow up projects as well. I highly recommend him to anyone needing home renovations large or small.
Great job building a patio with stones and railings for entrance. Project done on time, efficiently and without any issues.
We had a great experience working with Absolute Improvement on our home project. From day one, they were professional, organized, and easy to communicate with. They kept us updated throughout the process, handled unexpected issues without drama, and stayed on schedule — which was a huge relief. The quality of their work speaks for itself. Every detail was done with care, and the crew was respectful and clean. We're really happy with the results and would absolutely recommend Absolute Improvement to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled general contractor.
I had a fantastic experience with this construction company. The team was professional, efficient, and completed the project on time and within budget. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality
