A 2025 review described a seven-year commercial project converting an entire building to an air-source heat pump system. Recent reviews, from late 2025 into early 2026, are consistently positive: fast turnarounds on commercial AC installs (one building's system finished in a week), prompt responses to service calls, and one case where a manager diagnosed and repaired a small leak in a heat pump after two other companies had recommended a full system replacement. The record isn't uniform, though. A 2022 review described a $50,000 Mitsubishi mini-split system installed incorrectly, leading to ongoing problems, with the reviewer recommending a Diamond Elite-certified contractor instead for a longer warranty. A 2023 review described an elderly customer being billed repeatedly without her heater actually getting fixed. Both are serious, specific complaints, though both are several years old against a stronger run of recent reviews. The company's Massachusetts HVAC license is registered to Ace Temperature Control itself, and state records show it has expired; BBB separately lists several additional Massachusetts license numbers for the company across sheet metal, plumbing and refrigeration work, none independently verified here. Ace also states it holds a Rhode Island commercial refrigeration license, not verified against that state's registry. For HVAC installation, commercial refrigeration, or a hard-to-diagnose heating issue in Central Massachusetts, Ace's long institutional track record and recent reviews are a real strength — for a large installation project specifically, it's worth asking about warranty terms and getting the scope in writing given the 2022 account.
