Ninety-eight Google ratings averaging five stars. That is the first thing to know about Mass Pike Plumbing & Heating, and the second is what those ratings are mostly about: the jobs nobody plans for. A water heater that quits on a Friday night. A pipe that lets go. Heat that dies in February. The Worcester shop's Massachusetts plumbing licence is active, held by Evan Ryan, and it is his name that turns up in nearly every account customers write. Speed is the through-line. In a December 2025 review, a homeowner whose water-heater connection burst around 10:50 on a cold Friday night had the tank and all its plumbing replaced the following day. Someone else called at 8pm and had a job far bigger than expected finished the next day. In an October 2025 review, a family who had waited a week on another company's part — and still had no heat or hot water — described the fault being found in fifteen minutes and closed out inside the hour. The work is wider than drain calls. Tankless conversions. A venting fault left by another trade that one customer described as a carbon-monoxide hazard. Steam heat and three radiators. Boiler installs, a heating system replaced mid-winter, a shower valve swapped without demolishing the tile, a kitchen disposal replaced along with the switch its leak had ruined, with no charge for the extra part. Several people mention being walked through the diagnosis in terms they could follow; one, writing in Spanish in March 2026, said the crew explained the problem to her in Spanish. Another was talked through a kitchen-sink leak over the phone and never needed a truck at all. Here is the honest caveat: this is a new name. Its written record runs 2025 to 2026 — 96 reviews across six sites, the earliest from October 2025 — and it is uniformly five-star, without a single critical account in it. Consistent, yes, but there is no older stretch to test it against, and its BBB grade sits at A- rather than the top mark. Worth asking how long the company has actually been operating, and pinning the estimate down up front, which is how several customers say it went for them. For a dead water heater, a boiler out in January, or a leak that cannot wait for Monday, this is a straightforward call in and around Worcester. For a large planned project, a firm with a longer paper trail may suit you better.
We had an exceptional experience with Evan today. He came to our house to fix an outside hose connection. However, while he was here we mentioned a dripping problem in our kitchen, which ended up being a water pressure issue throughout the entire house. Evan listened, and focused on what the underlying issue was instead of the symptom. Most importantly he made time to fix all of our concerns. Will absolutely call him again!
Evan was amazingly helpful when we needed urgent help for a broken water heater in our building. He was able to get there within a couple hours and change the entire unit out and get it working again. We are incredibly appreciative for his help and highly recommend him for both residential and commercial use! Thank you!
