Action King Services

Fifty-eight years at the same Lowell address, and a Google page averaging 1★ across three ratings. Action King Services is a family-owned septic, grease trap and drain company at 26 Livingston Street that says it has served Eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire since 1968 — septic pumping, Title 5 inspections, hydro jetting, video pipe inspection, grease trap cleaning and catch basins. Its BBB page names Francis R. King as president, dates the corporation to 1980, and grades the business A+ with no complaints and no government actions published, though it is not BBB accredited. The trade press knows him: Pumper reported in 2017 that King was a former board member of the National Association of Wastewater Technicians, and a 2014 Cleaner article quoted him saying that going out of his way to treat customers fairly is what drives retention. Customers, though, have written almost nothing down. One review sits on file anywhere: a September 2025 Google reviewer who called about a urinal blockage and said that after the crew took it apart and put it back, the flush handle started leaking, that they were told that was how it had been, and that they were charged anyway. Three ratings is a thin base for a 1★ average — but it is the base that exists, and that complaint is specific about the work itself. One other thing on the public record: a 2023 article described an Action King Services truck crashing through a guard rail and knocking down a residential mailbox before stopping just short of a utility pole. This is a call for septic tank, grease trap and drain work in the Merrimack Valley, where a five-decade operator who does Title 5 inspections counts for more than a review page.
