Everything written about Aldos Heating & AC was written between May 2008 and October 2009. Five reviews on one syndicated Angi/HomeAdvisor listing, averaging 3.8, and nothing since. What is there splits. Two May 2008 customers had good service calls: one wrote that the technician knew their AC unit, fixed a couple of small things they already knew about, showed up on time and charged a reasonable fee; the other got a price up front and a quick finish. An August 2008 furnace client liked the work and the suggestions but said a job quoted at one week took three. Then in October 2009 a customer wrote that no sales documents were provided, that the warranty was not covered, that a damaged product was installed without being told, and that their follow-up requests went unanswered. One wrinkle worth knowing: the HomeAdvisor listing's own URL still reads "CobraCentralSystems", and the August 2008 reviewer calls the company Cobra — so this profile appears to carry an earlier trading name, and the older reviews may describe the business under it. It is a Stoneham shop at 4 Manison Street. The listing claims 24 years in the trade, says Spanish is spoken, and states plainly that it offers no free estimates, no warranties and no emergency service. Seventeen years is a long stretch with nothing written. If you call, ask for current references, and get the warranty terms in writing before anything is installed — that is exactly what the 2009 complaint turned on.
