Craig was professional and informative throughout the inspection he conducted for us today. He clearly explained his observations and shared practical maintenance tips and recommendations that were helpful for planning future upkeep!
The inspection revealed several things i wouldn't have thought about. Thankfully, they were easy fixes. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism.
Recently purchased a home that has central air - that doesn’t work. The day I moved in the compressor wouldn’t turn on and I had to reset the breaker. It kept tripping until the compressor was done. Compressor had a hard start kit attached as well. R22 system old like over 20 years. This was my biggest concern. If they had tried to turn it on they would’ve known the breaker was tripped and we could’ve looked into it more. Had to spend 2k on portable units and now I’m trying to get the seller to replace the system after the fact. In the inspection report it was stated due to outside or ambient temps being lower than 60 degrees the compressor won’t engage so no bother in trying to at least see if it powers on? That is ridiculous and I got a bad inspection. I reached out to alliance and received zero response. Use at your own risk. I am so distraught over this.
Craig is thorough, honest, particular and pays attention to detail! He is the best in Rhode Island! You won't find a nicer more thorough home inspector! His prices are competitive but lower than most! Call Alliance Home Inspections. The person who complained most likely did the stuff themselves and are simply are people who complain about everything! Craig has 100's of 5 star ratings! Call Alliance Home Inspections! You will be satisfied!
We were referred to Alliance by our real estate agent. We thought initially the inspector was thorough based on the amount of time spent at the home. After moving in to the home, MISSED items were found: 1. Outside light fixture over the garage was hanging on by a thread. It wasn't attached with the appropriate screws. 2. The ceiling fans did not work in two rooms. 3. There was no GFI outlet in one of the bathrooms. We thought at least the basics would be covered. We were disappointed with this inspection! You want to be able to move in without having to think about repairing anything. This inspection wasn't what we expected! We've decided, for the next home inspection, we will pay a licensed contractor to do the job.
