Amaral Services LLC

Three people on r/RhodeIsland went out of their way to name Amaral Services. The most specific of them, posting in December 2024, said the Swansea company redid their kitchen in about two to three weeks; a June 2025 commenter had just come through a huge renovation and called them good to work with, and an August 2025 post recommended Nick and his team after a project of their own. Nicholas Amaral runs the business out of 2135 GAR Highway in Swansea, and BBB's file dates it to 2018. The company's own telling is that Nick started out of a pickup truck; today the site names Tony on project management and jobsite and Monica on homeowner follow-up, and says Nick attends every walkthrough himself. What it takes on is the general-contracting spread — additions, garages, decks, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, siding, windows and framing — across southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #188023, is active on the state registry, and the site lists a Rhode Island number as well, RI#40780. Building permits filed in Dighton and North Dighton put a scale on the work: a $33,000 bathroom renovation in 2023 and a $15,000 front-porch replacement in 2024. For a homeowner around Swansea planning an addition, a kitchen or a bath, this is an owner-run shop — BBB's file lists a single employee — where the owner is the one walking the job. Get the scope and the payment schedule in writing, ask for proof of insurance, and if your project sits on the Rhode Island side of the line, check RI#40780 with that state's register before you sign.
