A 2024 customer who let their oil get far too low called American Fuel Oil asking for a delivery the next day, and said the company took the initiative to deliver the same day. A 2022 customer said the company serviced a furnace and supplied fuel to their home in East Hartford, and that during the annual inspection the tech replaced the air filter and checked the aging oil tank for rust. A 2025 customer said they woke to no heat, left a message with the answering service, got a call back within 10 minutes, and within an hour the technician came out and fixed the issue. In a 2023 review, a customer said Bob Jr and Andy installed an Energy Kinetics System 2000 in their home, that the installation was neat with all valves labeled, and that Bob cleaned up the work area. A 2021 customer said American Fuel was a bit less expensive and more detailed in its quote than regional companies for a new boiler, and that Bob did the installation. A 2021 reviewer said an HVAC technician named Andy was transparent about what he was doing to fix a problem at their residence. The company holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau, and its website lists a service area that includes Coventry, Andover, Bolton, Hebron, Manchester, Tolland and nearby towns. A 2026 customer said they had to prove they were an existing customer to a rude person on the phone before being transferred and getting oil, and that the company refused to help with a furnace issue. A 2026 reviewer who had a tank installed outside by the company said the furnace stopped working during the last three coldest winters, and that when they called, the woman on the phone said that was not the company's problem.
I had to deal with a very rude person on the phone. I had to prove I'm and existing customer. She transferred me and I was able to get oil. They also refused to assist with a furnace issue i had. Going forward ill be using another company.
I had tank installed outside by this company and last 3 coldest winters furnace would stop working so I was switch to different supplier thinking it's there bad oil., when nothing helped I called these people and woman on the phone was so rude she didn't want to hear anything about and sad that's not our problem!!! This costumer support is garbage!!!
This company is amazing. Woke this morning to no heat. Left a message with the answering service and got a call back within 10 mins. Within an hour, the technician came out and fixed the issue. Been with them for over 20 years and always had the best responses and service. Highly recommend them!

Always helps us and accommodates us whenever we need oil delivered Just today, I made the mistake of letting our oil get far too low, I called asking if we could get it delivered tomorrow (very short notice). They took the initiative to deliver on the same day. Simply amazing, great people.
