John and his team at American Oak Hardwood Floors did an amazing job refinishing my 60 year old red oak flooring that was damaged, stained, and had oranged. The team arrived on time, took the necessary precautions to plastic tarp and protect the other surfaces and rooms from dust. They quickly demo'd the existing two layers of linoleum flooring from the kitchen, and flawlessly laid a the new hardwood floor in the space. it wad feathered in perfectly without ripping any boards. Special attention was given to R&R both the bull noses of the stair case to ensure that the foyer didn't have an eye sore. The floors were sanded incredibly smooth, none of the wall corners or paint were damaged and it was ready for poly. Having kids and large dpgs, i couldn't decide on a poly type or even a finish, gloss vs matte. I put my trust in John's experience when he recommend the Bona Traffic HD matte water based poly. Along the way John communicated with me and provided progress photos and explained to me why they did what they did to ensure a quality finish. once the final coat was applied and cured, John came back to review the finish of the fully dried floor and to answer any of my remaining questions a about cleaning and maintenace. There truly is no better feeling than when you spend your hard earned money, and the result is even better than what you had expected and hoped for. I highly recommend the American Oak Hardwood Floor company. Thank you for being honest and quality professionals.
