- Pump replacement — $400 labor quoted in 2023, called expensive
Amigos Handyman Service is a handyman business whose owner is named Eddy, according to a 2023 Google review. In that 2023 review, Eddy came to look into a Mercerator pump issue and said the pump needed to be ordered and replaced. The customer paid $100 against a $50 fee, with the difference to be adjusted if they hired him for the replacement or returned if not. He later texted a $400 labor charge to replace the pump, which the customer found expensive and declined. The customer wrote that they texted and called him multiple times for the $50 but he never replied or returned it, and urged care when giving him money in advance.

Hi called this company and the owner Eddy came to look into a Mercerator pump issue. He informed me that I need to order a pump and replace it. He said I can give him $50 but I had a $100 note. I wanted to go to nearby bank with him to get the change. But he said that I can give him $100. If I work with him in a few weeks tonreplace the pump, he can adjust it. If I do not wish to work with him, he will return my $50. Later, he texted me his labor charge $400 just to replace the pump. It was pretty expensive for me. So I do not wish to replace the pump at this moment. I texted him and called him multiple times to give my $50 back, but he never texted me back or call me back to give $50 back to me. It is not a big amount of money. But it is about the work ethic. He is not an honest person. He is not a professional at all. Please be careful when you give him any work also when you give him money in advance. Thanks
