A February 2011 customer described Steve Nguyen driving out in the middle of a snowstorm, then calling back twice afterward to make sure everything was fine. That kind of account fills AMT HVAC's history — and most of it is that old: 22 of the company's 27 reviews were written between 2009 and 2011, when reviewers kept naming the Haverhill company's owner as the man doing the work himself. Those older accounts are specific. In an October 2010 review, a customer said he repaired the system by installing one part instead of the entire motor. An August 2010 homeowner wrote that he researched and picked up the needed parts before arriving and had the central air unit fixed within an hour. A May 2010 customer described a central air installation with a SEER 16 unit that qualified for a $1,500 federal tax rebate plus a rebate from the electric company, and a December 2009 reviewer covered a new 2.5-ton split electric heat pump. Three accounts come later. A June 2015 reviewer called him prompt and knowledgeable; in August 2021 a HomeAdvisor customer described a boiler installation and said Steve walked through everything with them; an April 2023 Angi reviewer left a single line saying the job was done well. Against all of that sit two undated reviews published on its Better Business Bureau page, both accusing the company's workers of being criminals, with no job or detail attached — one of the two is flagged as removed. The same BBB page, filed under AMT Comfort Air HVAC, LLC at the same Haverhill address and owner, carries an A+ letter grade. The company's site describes residential and commercial heating and cooling across Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Florida, and lists dealer status with Trane, Carrier, Mitsubishi and Fujitsu among others. Its two directory profiles disagree on the basics: Angi's page says emergency service and warranties are offered, while HomeAdvisor's page for the same business answers no to both. For a heat pump, boiler or central air installation — the work those older reviews describe best — this is worth a call, with three things to settle first: whether Steve Nguyen still runs the jobs himself, what the emergency-service and warranty terms actually are in writing, and what the company says about the allegations on its BBB page.
