Andy Amaya is an East Boston electrician who's been at it for about three years, working mostly on the smaller residential jobs that come up around a house โ light fixtures, bathroom exhaust fans, recessed lighting, outlets. On Thumbtack he's got a perfect record so far: 5.0 stars across all 8 ratings. The pattern across his write-ups is a same-day, fair-price kind of shop. In an October 2025 review, a customer said he responded to a quote request right away and was back the next day to install two light fixtures at a fair price. Earlier, in an April 2024 review, another customer said he came the same day for a bathroom ventilation fan; a March 2024 review describes him taking his time on recessed lights and outlets and leaving everything clean. A January 2025 review notes he's an IBEW electrician and says his craft shows even on a quick two-fixture swap. One job didn't go as smoothly: a 2024 bathroom exhaust fan install in an older house ran into unexpected wiring complications and took longer than planned, though the reviewer said the crew stuck with it until it was done and would use them again. His listed reviews run from 2024 into late 2025 rather than anything from this year, so it's worth confirming he's still taking work and getting a current reference before booking a larger project. For everyday fixture, fan, and outlet jobs around East Boston, the record he's built so far is a consistent one.
Andy was great to work with. He responded to my request for a quote right away and came out the next day to install 2 light fixtures. Fair price and excellent work. I plan to have him come back soon to install another light fixture and replace two smoke detectors.
Andy is a pro. An IBEW guy, Andy's craft shows. Even though he just replaced two light fixtures, may I add in record time, Andy has alot of great knowledge about electric work and we look forward to using him again. I reccomend hiring him for your needs residential/commercial. He responded day I sent out request and came to the house next day. Thanks again Andy!
New Installation of bathroom exhaust fan. Electrical was an issue (old house). Guys did a great job. Took longer than expected, but they didn't stop until it was finished. Would use them again for future projects.
Andy gave me a fair price for an installation of a bathroom ventilation light/fan. He was able to come and complete the job the same day. Looks great! I highly recommend him.
He installed couple of recess lights on my bedroom and installed couple receptacles . He took his time, and left everything incredible, really like his work.
