AP Design Build is a Pembroke, Massachusetts design-build firm founded in 2018, with a team the company says combines more than 30 years of construction experience. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #196674, is verified active on the state registry, and the company reports serving South Shore towns including Norwell, Duxbury, Hingham, Hanover and Cohasset. All 10 Google reviews on file, spanning 2023 to 2026, are five stars, and most describe a specific project rather than general praise. A December 2025 review credits Adam and his team with building out a bathroom and living space above a garage in time for a new grandchild's birth. An October 2025 review describes a basement finish of more than 1,000 square feet, including a pantry, calling the design work "outstanding." Further back, a 2023 review recounts a kitchen remodel that grew from taking down a wall and moving a support beam into new gas lines and a new floor, and another 2023 review lists transparency, coordination, planning and quality as the reasons the homeowner would hire the company again. Six of the ten reviews on file name Adam personally, praising his responsiveness and follow-through on projects that also include room additions and in-law suites. The company's Houzz and BuildZoom profiles list a broader menu — kitchen and bathroom design, new construction, architectural design and project management — alongside the additions, basements and kitchens its reviews actually describe. This is a strong call for an addition, basement finish or kitchen remodel on the South Shore; for something further from what its reviews describe, ask to see recent examples of that specific work.
I reached out to Adam and his team about adding a great room addition to our home after getting a reference from a friend about him doing great work. Adam was super responsive and came out to talk about the project that same day! I worked with Adam over the next few weeks to design the room and all the details. Adam was extremely kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and patient with our constant changing design ideas. We eventually got the design we wanted and was given a final price. Adam’s price was very fair (not the most expensive nor the cheapest). We did not end up doing the project this year (due to budgeting) but I cannot say enough good things about Adam and his company. He was always responsive through text/phone and I never had to chase him down and that’s a rarity when working with contractor’s. Adam cares about his clients and takes the time to make sure they’re happy every step of the way. Anyone looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and true professional at his craft just reach out to Adam and you won’t be disappointed!
Our daughter was having a baby and we needed to add a bathroom and living area above our garage, so that they could have their own space. Adam and his team did an amazing job of building it out and completing it just in time for the birth, and we couldn’t be more grateful. TY Adam and the AP Design crew for all your hard work and commitment to making everything possible. Very happy customers!
Very top quality work,
We hired AP Design Build to finish our basement—over 1,000 square feet including a pantry—and they exceeded every expectation. From the start, their design services were outstanding, helping us envision a space that was both functional and beautiful. What sets them apart is that they not only design but also execute the work themselves, which made the entire process seamless. They were extremely professional, communicative, and respectful of our time and budget. The project was completed on schedule and within the agreed budget, which is rare in large-scale renovations. Every detail was handled with care, and the craftsmanship truly shows. If you're looking for a contractor who delivers high-quality work with integrity and efficiency, AP Design Build is exceptional. Highly recommended!
I really like the way how they do the work. Very friendly and budget friendly. I will need their help for future projects.
