Aponte Development builds rather than repairs. The Roslindale firm — "AD," as its own site shortens it — works at project scale: multi-family buildings and sub-division developments where it says it handles the deal, the permitting, the design and the construction itself. By its own account it has done that since 2013, with development, general contracting, construction management and interior design run in-house. Its name turns up in Boston development coverage rather than in customer reviews. Universal Hub wrote in 2025 about a Roslindale apartment proposal that called for 32 parking spaces, storage for a bicycle per apartment, a gym, a conference room and "study pods"; back in 2020, the same outlet reported the West Roxbury Neighborhood Council's zoning committee voting 4-2 to support another of its proposals. The homeowner's side of it is close to blank. BuildZoom has no reviews for the company, and the BBB lists it as Not Rated, saying it lacks sufficient information to issue one — that profile shows a January 2014 start date and five employees, and files the business under Real Estate Broker rather than construction. The only number anywhere is a single 1★ Google rating with nothing written behind it, which is too thin to read in either direction. Two things are worth settling before you call. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #198687, and names Neselle Aponte as owner — that is the directory's listing, not a confirmation, so check the number yourself against the state's contractor registry. Then ask for references from finished projects: a firm whose visible history is condo and apartment proposals, zoning hearings and neighborhood votes is a different proposition from a remodeler working around a family in an occupied house. If you are a buyer or an owner looking at a Boston multi-family or sub-division project, this is the kind of outfit that shape of work goes to, and the company says it covers Roslindale, Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, West Roxbury, Roxbury, Dorchester and neighboring parts of the city. For a straightforward home renovation, go in knowing there is no public review history to lean on, and lean harder on references and the registry check instead.
“Aponte Development plans also call for 32 parking spaces, enough room to store one bicycle per apartment, plus eight visitor bikes, a gym, a conference room and "study pods."”
“The West Roxbury Neighborhood Council's zoning committee voted tonight 4-2 to support Aponte Development's proposal, which will ultimately need approval from the Zoning Board of Appeal”
