Clips, green glue and double drywall: that is how a 2024 reviewer described the soundproofing Allan and his crew built into a home theater for him. Art Remodeling works out of Framingham on kitchens, baths, additions and finished basements across MetroWest, and its own site adds new construction, general carpentry, roofing and siding. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. Bathrooms come up more than anything else — three of the eight written accounts are bathroom projects. A January 2024 Houzz review covers two at once: a 1970s pop-in tub and shower replaced with a large white tub and tile run floor to ceiling, plus a main-floor half bath, both requiring full demolition. A June 2024 customer who had a complete bathroom renovation done called the quote extremely reasonable. In a September 2023 review, a homeowner who had used the company twice — a major bathroom renovation, then a hardwood floor with repainting and a fireplace — described both projects as on time, on budget and reasonably priced. One account comes from inside the trade. In a 2019 Houzz review, an interior designer who had worked with them for about two years called the crew knowledgeable, respectful and organized, and singled out that they show up to work every day. A November 2025 customer who did a kitchen, porch and entryway said they were completely comfortable having the crew in the house on a daily basis; a 2021 reviewer liked the basement refinishing enough to recommend them. Its BBB page is an A+, and puts the company at eight years in business. One account runs sharply against the rest, and it comes from outside the house. In August 2026 a neighbor of one of their jobs left a one-star review saying debris from the site blows all over the place because the crew does not clean up, and that workers trampled their lawn and walked on their property without permission. It speaks to how a jobsite is run rather than to the finished rooms, but it is the kind of thing that matters if your project sits close to a property line. For a MetroWest homeowner planning a gut bathroom, a kitchen or a finished basement — work that needs demolition, tile and finish carpentry coordinated by one outfit — Art Remodeling matches what past customers describe. Before signing, put the site plan in writing: where the dumpster and debris go, who cleans up at the end of each day, and which parts of the property the crew may cross.
The crew does not respect private property or keep the area clean. I'm a neighbor to a remodel they are doing. Their debris blows all over the place because they don't clean up. They trample my lawn, walk on my property without permission. They do not need to walk on my property to access the property they are working on. They part in the middle of the road when there is space to the side. Inconsiderate.
We did our kitchen, porch and entryway with Art Remodeling. We have only wonderful things to say about them. The quality of the work is fantastic. Attention to detail was fantastic and we were completely comfortable with them being in the house on a daily basis. Thanks so much, looking forward to the next project!
Allan and his team built a home theater for me earlier this year with sound proof methods such as clips, green glue and double drywall. They did a fantastic job. The theater was beautifully done and they went above and beyond to ensure little things are done correctly, such as stripping the speaker wires and label all the speakers and their wires (13 of them). Very happy with their professionalism and quality. Will definitely work with them again for other projects.
We hired Art Remodeling for a complete bathroom renovation. The finished product exceeded our expectations--it's beautiful. The Art Remodeling team was professional and responsive throughout the entire process. The quote was extremely reasonable, and the quality of work was outstanding. As with any major renovation, there were a few hiccups along the way, but Allan and his crew handled them expertly without any drama or complaint. You can have complete confidence in Allan; he doesn't play any of the "games" other contractors play. We will definitely use Art Remodeling again should the opportunity arise.
It was wonderful working with Art Remodeling on our two bathroom remodels. One was a full bath changing from 1970s pop in tub/shower to a large white tub and beautifully tiled shower walls floor to ceiling. The other was a main floor half bath. Both required full demo. Every step communication was clear and easy. The finishing touches and care for our home during that time was great. The expected timeline went through the holidays, but everything was completed ahead of schedule including the final inspections after the holidays. I would highly recommend Art Remodeling to family and friends.
