Fernando's crew keeps getting asked back. A homeowner writing in February 2024 said he had come every year for three years to upgrade one part of the house; another, the same month, counted five renovations in two years, including a full first-floor and kitchen job. A condo association wrote in April 2024 that Asus had handled several of its projects plus one emergency, each staying within the quote and the time allotted. Asus Contractor Inc works out of Boston and says it was founded in Massachusetts in 2021, taking on renovations, additions and custom homes across Greater Boston and MetroWest. Its Thumbtack profile is a Top Pro at 4.8 across 50 reviews, with 29 hires, 12 employees and 138 project photos; on Google it sits at 4.8 from 23 ratings. Basements and decks are the steady work. In July 2024 a customer had 600 square feet of basement promised in six weeks and finished in four, with the crew showing up every day. In April 2026 a homeowner described a basement project where Fernando painted the ceiling and built walls out around the house systems. A Thumbtack customer in October 2023 had a peeling, rotting front porch replaced and said Fernando raised extra work without pushing it; another, in June 2022, had a deck finished a month before the date asked for. Estimates and contracts come up as well: an April 2024 customer said Asus was not the cheapest bid but gave the most detailed and inclusive estimate, and a November 2024 Thumbtack client called the contract thorough. The exception is a one-star Google review from March 2024, where the customer wrote that everything was calm before the order and that "after making the payment we regretted" it. For a basement finish, a deck or porch rebuild, or a run of renovation work on one house, this is a crew with a long list of people who hired them twice. Settle the payment schedule and what each stage buys before you sign, and confirm the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration and a certificate of insurance.
