The business (also doing business as Cleantec Diversified Services Consultants LLC) has been operating since 2013, according to its Better Business Bureau file, which rates it A+.
Earlier reviews, mostly from 2018 through 2021, describe a business that showed up, worked fast, and charged fairly: a 2018 customer had an old storm door and trim replaced within three days at what she called a very fair price and called the crew punctual and pleasant; others from that period single out being on time, on budget, and finishing quickly.
That record has since been badly complicated by a run of specific, dollar-figure complaints about larger jobs. Two separate 2022 reviews — the same complainant, posted on both Houzz and HomeAdvisor — allege that Augustine Lett cashed a $35,000 deposit on a roughly $100,000 exterior project, never completed the work, and stopped responding; a Breach of Contract claim was filed with the Barnstable District Court and was still pending as of that review. A 2018 HomeAdvisor review describes a deck-to-living-space conversion where paperwork went missing and a one-month job stretched to six, with an attempt to add charges mid-project. A March 2026 review describes a failed patio, workers who quit, and being left to cover over $20,000 in repairs after the contractor stopped responding — and explicitly warns against hiring 'anyone with the same last name, Lett.' A 2019 review separately states the business didn't follow through on a signed contract.
HomeAdvisor's own tally of the business — 4.0 stars from 27 ratings — is bimodal rather than middling: 78% five-star, 22% one-star, with almost nothing in between. That page also states '37 years of experience,' which doesn't square with the BBB's own 2013 business-started date — worth asking about directly.
Before booking anything beyond a small job, get a written contract with a payment schedule tied to completed work, confirm who specifically will be on site (several complaints center on subcontractors and family members working under the Lett name), and ask for recent, verifiable references for any project over a few thousand dollars. For a modest, well-defined job — a door, some trim, a small repair — the older reviews suggest reliable, fairly priced work; for a large deposit-up-front renovation, the more recent record argues for real caution.
