A patio finished in two days, in time for the Fourth of July — that is a July 2026 Thumbtack reviewer, and speed is what people keep writing about Austin Landscaping and Construction. The Lynn company does yard work and the hard stuff that goes with it: concrete patios and walkways, masonry, lawn care, general clean-ups and winter snow plowing, by its own account. Thumbtack's profile names Anibal Mendez as the background-checked owner, with six employees and a Top Pro badge from 2023; Angi and HomeAdvisor both list the company as veteran owned and operated. The 2026 jobs are small-to-midsize and specific. In September, a homeowner had a pea gravel seating area built in a city backyard — a few inches of soil off, weed barrier down, gravel and edging in. In July, another had a very long asphalt driveway depaved and rebuilt as hardscape: two stone-paver pathways, a gravel area for a fire pit, and soil and stone dividers for plantings along the side of the property. A Google reviewer that same month wanted a large yard project done fast and said the crew delivered on a quick timeline. The older accounts say much the same about showing up. In an October 2025 review, a homeowner who had to dig up a walkway and front yard after a pipe break wrote that Austin put it back together and brought a level of professionalism other contractors were unwilling to bring to a job that small. Another October 2025 review ran through fabric and mulching, planting in three flower beds, shrub trimming, crushed stone, and a new stone walkway at a rear entryway. A March 2020 reviewer credited a spring clean-up and added that the crew was careful not to disturb the conservation land next door; a December 2018 reviewer said they arrived exactly when they said they would. One thing to pin down is how long this crew has actually been at it. The company's own site says 10 years, Thumbtack's profile says 26, and the Angi and HomeAdvisor listings say 8 years of experience. Thumbtack's 26 ratings break 92% five-star and 8% one-star, so it is fair to ask for a reference on a job the size of yours. For a patio, a paver walkway, a retaining wall or a spring clean-up around Lynn, this is a straightforward call — the people who hired them describe work that started when promised and finished quickly. Settle scope and timeline in writing, and ask which of the three tenure figures is the real one.
We hired this company to do a small city backyard project: create a pea gravel seating area. The job included removing a few inches of soil, installing a weed barrier, and then adding the pea gravel and edging. Austin Landscaping was extremely responsive, punctual, and did even more than asked, using some leftover bricks to create edging around the non-patio areas. Their price was within the range of other quotes I received for this project.
We hired Austin Landscaping and Construction to depave our very long asphalt driveway and then do some hardscaping, installing two new pathways with stone pavers, creating a gravel area for a fire pit, adding soil and stone dividers for plants along the side of the property, and opening up an area to use for a vegetable garden. He understood the vision, was a great communicator, and very professional. The project turned out great! We would hire again.

I had a pipe break that forced me to dig up my walkway and front yard; Austin Landscaping helped me put everything back together. My job was small and relatively simple, but they provided a level of professionalism that other contractors were unwilling to provide. Very responsive and punctual. Visited me prior to the start of work and provided me a written proposal. Was very clear about deposit and payment needs. Performed all work as planned and quicky addressed unexpected conditions that could have derailed overall cost and schedule. Scope of Work included paving the walkway, repairing stairs, trimming hedges, planting new bushes, strip and replace mulch.
