B. Alpha Construction LLC

Midway through a Mass Save job, the crew found an additional problem with one of the homeowner's walls, alerted them right away and took photos of it — that is an October 2024 review, and it is the kind of thing customers write about this Chicopee company. B. Alpha Construction installs insulation: two-part spray foam and cellulose, in houses, multi-family buildings, and commercial and municipal work across Western Massachusetts. Its site says three partners — Yamil, Joel and Mark — founded the company in 2021 after coming out of Energia LLC, the insulation worker co-op, with a combined 40-plus years in building performance, and describes it as minority-owned. A LinkedIn profile lists Yamil Brito as co-owner and manager with 16 years in the field and Energia's former chief operating officer. Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 201875 is active on the state registry in the company's name. On Google the average is 4.8 across 24 ratings, and the written accounts run from 2022 into this summer. The partners' own names carry them: Yamil appears in six, Mark in five, Joel in three, usually for telling people what was happening and when. A 2022 customer wrote that Yamil and his crew were not daunted by a tricky, cramped crawl space and got it done quickly; a 2023 customer who had crawl spaces sprayed called the team organized and timely. On the commercial side, a 2022 reviewer had 20,000 square feet of a working facility in Lee insulated and wrote that the crew started on schedule and worked to cut the operation's downtime, and a January 2025 reviewer had insulation supplied and installed for a mid-rise. Two customers describe the equipment failing mid-job. On an addition in 2023, the spray rig went down and a second crew came out the next day to finish; in an October 2025 review, the customer's main contact, Joelle, taped off their entire house and adapted when equipment issues came up. Both wrote five-star reviews, which tells you more about how the company handles a bad morning than a smooth job would. Two things to settle up front. Dates can move: a December 2024 customer had a Sunday booked and then got a call asking about Thursday instead — it suited that homeowner, who needed the work done, but agree on how much notice you will get. And the rebate side is a real part of the job — the company says it handles the Mass Save and tax-credit paperwork that can cover 60 to 100 percent of a retrofit, so get the number your own house qualifies for in writing before anyone sprays. For a crawl space, a duplex, an addition or a commercial building where downtime costs money, this is a straightforward call in Western Massachusetts; their Angi profile also lists Spanish-language service if that matters in your household. Confirm which partner is running your job and what the rebate paperwork will actually cover.
