B&B Affordable Renovations, Inc. is a Westwood remodeling and general-contracting company offering work from roofing and gutters through kitchens, bathrooms, additions, windows, siding, and basement finishing. Many dated Houzz and BuildZoom reviews praise Bill and his crews for craftsmanship, communication, additions, bathrooms, roofs, windows, and renovations. However, two 2024–2025 Houzz reviews report serious flooding, unfinished weatherproofing, heating problems, and poor handling of concerns. Confirm current project supervision, weatherproofing, insurance, and references before booking. The company may fit broad home renovations, but the recent negative accounts warrant a detailed written scope and protections.
I needed a new roof like yesterday, B and B got on it immediately. Loved the roof had him change out all my windows. Loved the windows. Now working on new front entry way. Pretty sure I am going to love that too. B&B are honest dependable and professional.
We hired Bill of B&B for our renovation project in January of 2024. Since then, we have had water in the basement, lack of heat, and a number of other issues. He has often disregarded our concerns and at times left us emptying buckets of water and no heat for days. When we hired Bill, he told us it would be 4 to 6 months to complete the work. We went 17 months into the contract, with no single room in our home completed. He never gave us a timeline for completion. Now understanding his process, we would have had a finish-by date for each step with smaller scheduled payments and a hefty penalty for non-completion by that date. We have had to deal with the bathroom pipe being snaked in after drywall and plaster was completed and finished tilework needing to be cut to expose a buried drain. It has been extremely challenging working with Bill. I suggest anyone looking to hire Bill to check his history before making a decision.
We hired Bill to do a small addition for us after hiring him 7 yrs ago for a second story addition. We were very happy with the quality of work and pricing, so we reached out to him for our latest project, and have not been disappointed. Even during the unpredictable NE winter, he has kept to his schedule and is in touch with us regularly to keep us informed on the progress. Very happy so far.
Currently undergoing a major home renovation and extremely disappointed with B&B. Understanding weather conditions looked poor, we had pleaded with Bill to weather proof our home (which he hadn’t done for months). Our house ultimately faced substantial flooding and damages. If you are planning to work with him, please make sure every little detail is in the contract and that you get expected timelines for completion. Note that payments are heavily front loaded, and I would advise against paying in advance of any milestones not reached (despite how little work is left). Do not move forward with any change orders until the pricing is disclosed up front.
We have a garage addition project with Bill. He did a great job on explaining all aspects of what will be done and how it looks at the end. The team is professional and following the architecture plan, all the work were nicely done. Bill is a great guy, I can talk to him whenever I have doubt, one suggestion I had is if there is any special need before the project, just discuss it and note it down in the contract.
