Forty-six permits, one review. That is the shape of Ballarino Corp, a Franklin company whose paper trail runs a good deal deeper than its reputation online. Its permitted work between 2017 and 2023 covers additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, new single-family homes, siding, decks and roofing, spread across Needham, Attleboro, Medway, Franklin, Mendon, Newton and Boston. BuildZoom scores the profile 107, which it states puts the company in the top 6% of 139,240 licensed Massachusetts contractors. Behind it is Jeremy Ballarino, president, with the company incorporated in June 2007 and BBB-accredited at an A+ since July 2012 — nineteen years in business by the BBB's count, and one employee on its books. He is also listed as a licensed Massachusetts realtor. The gap is the customer voice. Just one person has written about them: a 2022 Google reviewer who had an entry door added to their garage, and described the framing and the siding replacement as neat, detailed work by Jeremy and his team. The BuildZoom, Houzz, HomeAdvisor and Angi profiles each show an empty review section. Treat the licensing as claims rather than confirmations. BuildZoom lists an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#180377) and an active construction supervisor licence (#CS-089817), and Houzz repeats that 089817 number. BuildZoom also lists two older Massachusetts numbers as inactive — home improvement contractor #167804 and electrician #15569 — each noted as having been cancelled at some point. None of it has been checked against the state registry. A reasonable call for an addition or a full-room renovation in the Franklin-to-Needham corridor, if you are willing to do the legwork the reviews cannot do for you. Ask for addresses off the recent permit list and go look at the work, and verify the registration number yourself with Consumer Affairs. HomeAdvisor's page also states the company does not offer free estimates, so settle how estimating works before you start.
