Basement Technologies, based in Walpole, puts in basement drainage systems and then comes back every year to check the pumps. Its Google page holds 4.6 stars from 25 ratings. In a February 2025 review, a customer whose French drain system was installed by Basement Technologies 15 years earlier said it still works "like a charm." A January 2025 reviewer had a French drain put in six years before with no problems, and a dehumidifier installed the previous summer. Another February 2025 reviewer wrote that in 23 years they have never had water in the basement, crediting the systems and the annual service. In March 2024, a customer with two runs of clogged 15-year-old floor channel spoke with Lori in Design, who set up service for the next day; Chris and Maxwell arrived early, finished and tested the work by early afternoon and cleaned up what the customer called a very messy job, and the system handled heavy rain the following evening. In a July 2024 review, a Rockland homeowner had an aging sump pump replaced by Archie, who explained how the pump works during the installation. A 2023 reviewer's maintenance visit with Corey ended with the main pump replaced and the battery backup serviced. In a February 2025 review, a customer said Archie has done their annual maintenance for years, and another customer with two homes wrote in April 2024 that they request him every year; at the Cape Cod home, where water had seeped up through floor cracks, Archie adjusted the pump's controls and the well. In November 2024 a customer said Corey arrived right at the projected time for their annual service, and in August 2024 Zaven arrived on time, checked the pumps, hoses, pipes and battery backup, and explained the floats. A February 2025 reviewer learned at the service appointment that their pump had stopped working; it was replaced under warranty in about 20 minutes. A July 2024 reviewer, happy with the visit itself, said coordinating and confirming an appointment by phone takes a long time, with advertising playing on hold. An August 2025 one-star review says only "They suck."
“Boston Basement Technologies turned my damp, occasionally flooded basement into a bone dry usable space. They trenched along the inner perimeter and installed a system that directs water to a sump.”
“I've read about Pioneer, Busy Dog/Basement Technologies, etc. but I get the impression those companies are more sales focused rather than an actual contractors who know what they're doing.”
“Definitely high pressure sales, but I had 3 companies give me quotes, they were all in the same realm, they did the job quickly, got it done, price was on target, and aside from a power outaage, my basement never got wet again.”
“The system collects water and runs it to a sump with a high performance pump. It includes a battery back up for power outages and an alarm if the battery is low. Had mine done in 2002, no problems ever.”
“Basement Technologies runs all kinds of ads on the radio but I am not sure if they just do interception type work or the repairs after damage.”
“Basement Technologies, while installing a waterproofing system in the home of Silva, broke a heating oil line and caused 150 gallons of oil to leak into Silva's basement.”
They suck
The technician was on time and did a thorough pump maintenance.
Christian came to service my sump pumps. He was courteous, prompt and efficient. The service time was just over 30 minutes
Archie was great to service my pump. Very courteous and explained everything. Very satisfied.
Very pleased with Basement Technologies. I appreciate the reminder to call to schedule my annual inspection. Technicians are always, friendly, polite and let me know the work they did while at my house. For 23 years, we have never had water in the basement due to the success of the systems and annual service.
