Additions are what Victor Rodrigues builds. BuildZoom's permit record shows eight projects, six of them in the past three years and weighted toward additions: a $367,456 addition in Needham Heights, a $70,575 kitchen-and-bath gut in the same town, a two-car garage with a master suite and four-season porch in Carlisle, and basement and garage-addition work in Mendon. Baystate Group Builders runs out of Blackstone, and the company says Rodrigues started it in 2005 as a design-build-remodel shop, building custom homes and ADUs and remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, basements and exteriors across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Homeowners describe that same kind of job. A January 2025 client had two additions built onto their Wayland house and said both came in on schedule. In a February 2025 review, a couple doing an addition and renovation said someone was there every day and that alterations to the job were clearly outlined and discussed. A January 2024 BuildZoom reviewer had a master bedroom with bathroom and closet added and said it went up quickly. Further back, a 2020 Houzz client had an 1,100-square-foot addition built onto their Walpole home along with a complete kitchen and first-floor bathroom remodel. Basements and baths fill in the rest. A June 2025 client finished a basement and gained a family space out of it; a 2020 reviewer said their finished basement came in within the estimated completion date at a reasonable price. Another 2020 Houzz client had a full kitchen and two bathrooms remodeled. Repeat work is common: one client writing in February 2025 had three jobs done — a bay added to the garage, a deck turned into a three-season room, and a stall shower and closet converted — and a 2019 client used Baystate several times on house flips and renovations, including the home they live in now. Trades have weighed in too. An electrical contractor who has done work on several of Victor's projects wrote in March 2026 that, after seeing inconsistency across the trades elsewhere, his results stood apart, and Brava Electric & Telecom of Brockton left a trade endorsement on BuildZoom praising the craftsmanship and carpentry. A homeowner writing that same month said the team showed up every day and that Victor worked through and solved the problems they ran into along the way. The Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #183913, is active on the state registry in Victor Rodrigues's name; Houzz and BuildZoom both list a restricted construction supervisor licence, CSFA-106478. Google shows 5.0 across nine ratings and Houzz 5.0 across 13, with 52 projects posted there. One number to sit with before you call: Houzz puts the typical job here at $100,000 to $5.8 million. This is the outfit for an addition, a custom house or a gut renovation rather than a short job — and since the company's site names seven towns while its Houzz page names 48, check that yours is on the list and settle the schedule before work starts.
