Beantown Cleaners is barely a year into business — a Massachusetts LLC incorporated on 29 January 2025 and listed with the Better Business Bureau as a one-employee operation whose manager is Evander Pierre. Its own site pitches a Boston house-cleaning outfit built as an alternative to franchises: locally owned, Boston-raised, covering Boston and Somerville. The job people actually describe hiring them for is the move-out clean. In August 2025 one customer wrote that the crew cleaned an apartment on the way out, arrived on time and were friendly; another, the same month, said a last-minute cleanup before an apartment inspection got handled fast. Alongside recurring house cleaning, the company lists deep cleans, move-in and open-house cleans, post-construction cleanup, Airbnb turnovers and commercial work. Two things are worth pinning down before you call. First, the written history is thin and dated: three Google ratings, all five stars, all posted inside about a month in August 2025, with nothing newer on file. Second, one of those three reads oddly for a house cleaner — it describes walking in and getting clothes back spotless and neatly pressed, which is garment cleaning, not the residential cleaning the company and its BBB listing both describe. Ask plainly what you are booking. The BBB grades it A- and says the grade reflects how long the business has been operating. It is not BBB accredited, and BBB reports no government actions against it. For a move-out or short-term-rental turnover clean in Boston or Somerville, they are a plausible call — a small, new company that a handful of 2025 customers said showed up on time and got the place clean. Treat those three reviews as a starting point rather than a track record: confirm crew size, scope and pricing in writing, and check that the service you want is the one they actually run.
