Beechtree Development is a Weston, Massachusetts general contractor whose Houzz profile lists remodeling, additions, and construction work across MetroWest and the South Shore, and which BBB lists as holding a Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards license, number 200260. Its written history splits cleanly into two eras. Nine Angi and HomeAdvisor reviews, all from 2020, describe additions and a full kitchen-and-bath renovation, with several customers thanking the owner, Jason Indelicato, for staying in close touch through the job. That run of five-star reviews is also the last positive account of the company. A 2023 review describes a basement remodel - asbestos tile removal, a fireplace gas line, drywall over paneling - that was quoted at four weeks but still wasn't finished after four months, when the homeowner fired the company; the permits the contract promised were never filed. A second 2023 review describes a two-story garage build the company walked off with under two-thirds complete, after refusing to finish for the contracted price and asking for close to a 25% increase. A 2024 review, echoed almost word for word on BBB, and a 2026 review both describe money taken upfront while subcontractors went unpaid and the job stalled for months. BBB itself lists the company as Not Rated, not accredited, and believed out of business, and its Houzz listing is currently suspended with no reviews posted. Before hiring, confirm the company is actively taking on work, and put the payment schedule, subcontractor arrangements, and permit filing in writing - those are exactly the points every 2023-to-2026 complaint turns on.
“Was very happy with the work preformed. The always arrived on time and kept me up to speed with work progress.”
I am very surprised that this company still exists. I never left bad review on public source but DO NOT use them. Jason Indelicato, the owner of Beechtree Development is the definition of a scam artist. He and his accountant always asked you to pay in advance but do not move the project forward as they did not pay the subcontractors. Not even half of the work was done after ten months. I finally fired him and hired a new contractor as he completely messed up my whole life. It was a disaster and the worst decision in my life.
Terrible experience with this company! We were hired to provide Insulation services over a year ago, and to this day, we have not received the payment owed. During this time, we have tried in every way to get in touch to resolve the issue, but the company simply ignores all our attempts to communicate. They don't respond to calls, emails, or messages, nor do they show any willingness to negotiate or provide any payment timeline. This is extremely disrespectful and dishonest behavior. Professionals who rely on their work and dedicate themselves to the success of projects do not deserve to be treated this way. If you're considering working with this company, think twice before trusting your time and effort, as you may end up being left out with no response or payment. We do not recommend them at all.
Jason Indelicato, the owner of Beechtree Development is the definition of a scam artist. Avoid at all costs. I hired him to do a simple job of renovating my basement. Removal of some Asbestos tile, some soundproofing, drywall over existing wood paneling, running a gas line to my fireplace to convert it from wood burning. It was projected to take 4 weeks. After 4 months I finally fired him. I should have done it sooner. The biggest red flag. I have a contract that states they will open permits for my work. They never did. Check with your town to make sure they actually opened permits if you're already stuck with this scammer! The quality was awful and had to be torn up and redone several times. It's already starting to crack in multiple places. Just run from this company! They don't show up when they say they will. Even if you get it in writing they just ghost you. Jason will moan and groan like he's doing you a favor just to even show up. He'll complain about how you can get this done quality, fast, or a good price, but not all 3. He does none of the 3. I had to pay extra to have someone finish the job he couldn't. As I said it was 3 months over estimate, 1 month over his 2nd estimate so it wasn't fast. I could also show pictures, but the quality is awful. My favorite phrase when they tried to say it was good enough was "put this on your website or fix it" They obviously attempted to fix things, but royally failed. I'll be paying to have this basement redone again in a few years I'm sure. Please don't do what I did. You will regret it. Find a better contractor. Run, run, run!
The statements below contain my opinions as to the way I was abused in my opinion and careful reconstruction of the events. It will be eventually for a court to rule but the statements below, should help others from being similarly abused. Jason Indelicato of Beechtree Development or Beechtree Construction, as they are alternatively known, of Wellesley or alternatively of Weston Massachusetts signed a contract with me on November 30 of 2021 to construct a 2 story garage on a pre-existing foundation in no more than 4 months, plus or minus reasonably, from the date of the contract. On June 10, 2022 nearly 7 months after the contract date, without warning, and WITHOUT ANY VALID REASONING, I received what I view as an UNLAWFUL NOTICE OF TERMINATION. The contractor walked off the job, with LESS THAN 2/3rds OF CONSTRUCTION COMPLETED and also having been paid for other work not entirely completed. THE CONTRACTOR WAS AWARE OF MY MONTHLY STORAGE CHARGES Of THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND THAT I NEEDED THE STORAGE CAPABILITIES OF THE NEW STRUCTURE TO GREATLY REDUCE MY STORAGE COSTS. Apparently that was of NO CONCERN AT ALL TO BEECHTREE. I was REPEATEDLY MISLED AS TO A COMPLETION DATE. BEECHTREE FAILED to adhere to the terms of the contract or the approved building plans on file with the Town, making multiple errors. As an indicator of what I consider to be their thorough lack of professionalism, though a Porta-Potty had been installed, on several occasions workers relieved themselves on the grounds. I was left with the burden of trying to locate and hire another contractor to complete construction. I tried desperately to avoid that situation. As mentioned above I had even offered to pay Mr. Indelicato IN FULL, IN ADVANCE OF THE RESUMPTION OF WORK AND ITS COMPLETION the full amount due as per the contract upon the full completion of the building, even offering an additional three thousand dollars not required by the contract. MR. Indelicato of Beechtree would not agree and instead sought an increase in cost, beyond that specified as the total contract cost, that increase being nearly $17,000, well above more than a 25% increase above the total original contract cost. It is my belief Beechtree SOUGHT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY SITUATION. I had contracted separately to install a concrete slab for the garage and carelessly they scattered crushed stone over my yard in areas unrelated to the construction location, grinding it into the ground in many areas. I'll need to hire someone to restore the grounds. In my opinion, AS THE VOLUMINOUS EMAIL RECORD CLEARLY SUPPORTS, Beechtree is a callous, unreliable, unprofessional and irresponsible company and has violated Massachusetts Consumer Protection Law, practicing "UNFAIR AND DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES" and I've suffered
Jason was super responsive and always responded to any questions or concerns. project came out great.
