Behind Clothes Doors is a closet company out of Bedford: a 2026 Reddit commenter said it helped maximize storage in small, angular under-eaves spaces and in a standard closet that had one bar only. Its website says the family-owned business has delivered personalized designs for closets, pantries and garages since 2011. A recent Google customer replaced a 30-year-old "white wire" master closet. That customer said Jeff came over, took measurements, talked through his ideas and sent a proposal with photos of other closet projects, and that the installers, another Jeff and the son of the owner, were efficient and tidy. A recent Google customer named Jeff as the installer and called the price reasonable for what they got. A recent Google customer said communication was great and the designs were what they were looking for. A 2026 Reddit commenter said the company was significantly cheaper than the other big names. A 2026 Google customer said the company installed a Murphy bed in a spare bedroom and that it was easy to open and close. A 2025 Google customer said the company installed cabinets in their kitchen and was prompt in answering questions. A 2025 Google customer described a first meeting with measurements, followed by a proposal with a 3D design and quote, and said everyone showed up on time. A 2023 Google customer had a chimney framed inside a new master bedroom closet and said Jeff sent the design proposal quickly and added a few extra shelves.
“I went to at least four closet places, including all of the big names, and ended up going with behind clothes doors. They were significantly cheaper than the other big names”
“I used Behind Clothes Doors out of Bedford. They helped me maximize storage in small and angular under eaves spaces that had nothing to begin with and also a “standard” closet that had one bar only.”
My experience with Behind Clothes Doors was wonderful! Their communication was great and the designs were just what we were looking for. Pricing was very reasonable and all around an enjoyable experience!
Jeff, the installer did a great job, this company was excellent to work with and was a reasonable price for what we got. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a custom closet.
We used Behind Clothes Doors to replace our original "white wire" master closet. It's not a very large closet, but was now 30 years old. We had Jeff come over (he answers his phone every time!!), he took measurements, talked us through his ideas and sent us a proposal that included amazing photos of several of their other closet projects. Once we approved the proposal, we scheduled the work - WE LOVE the results!! The installers (another Jeff and the son of the owner) did an amazing job! They were so efficient and tidy and the finished product is better than we imagined. HIGHLY recommend this team!!
We loved working with Jeff on our closet design. What a difference it made for us and our space. We love it! Now we want to go through our house to see what else we can organize! Garage is next! Thank you Jeff and team!!
Behind Clothes Doors installed a Murphy Bed in my spare bedroom. It looks great. Easy to open and close. It freed up space in the room to use for Yoga, then easily converts to a spare bedroom. I love it!
