Bel Islands Roofing and Siding says on Angi that it has more than 15 years of experience roofing, siding and remodeling homes throughout the Cape Cod, MA area, and that it does not hire sub-contractors. Angi shows it at 5.0 stars from 116 ratings. In a 2022 review, a homeowner described Andrei and his crew removing old painted curling shakes and putting up Cape Cod grey Hardy plank siding on the front of the house, Maibec shakes on the gables and kitchen entry way, and white Azak trim, in less than a week; they also replaced two windows with Harvey windows. That customer wrote that of the 4 prices they got, the closest to Andrei's was $15,000 more than his quote, which he stuck to. A 2021 customer chose Hardiplank on the front and Cedar Impressions on the sides and back, and wrote that Andrei came over within a day or so to review the job and made suggestions on detail work. Roofing is the other main line of work. In a 2022 review, a homeowner described the old shingles on the large section of a roof being stripped and replaced with subroofing and new asphalt shingles in one day, with Andrei returning a few months later to apply a rubberized coating to the rolled roof. A 2021 customer wrote that they tarped the yard during a roof job and took extra care of the shrubs and lawn. In another 2021 review, Andrei inspected the job, the roof and trim were done in one day, and he also replaced the gutters. In 2021, one customer described an old deck replaced with composite and cable railings, with the cost matching the estimate. Owners of a rental condo in Provincetown wrote in 2021 that they had hired Andrei five times over two years, including repairing and repainting cracked walls, a cracked shower ceiling and holes in drywall.

We give Bel Island Five Stars for our house siding project with Hardy plank siding and Maibac shingles. When Andrei and his crew came to our house, they removed our old painted curling shakes and replaced them with beautiful Cape Cod grey Hardy plank siding on the front of the house, and Maibec shakes on the gables and kitchen entry way, with white Azak trim all around in less than a week. They replaced two windows with Harvey windows as well. The entire crew was respectful and tidy at the end of each day and cleaned up at the end of the job like they were not even there. The best thing was the price. Get three estimates, you will be shocked at Andrei's price. We got 4 prices and the closest to Andrei's was $15,000 more than his quote which he stuck to.
It went great!
I did not know the contractor before we hired him. From start to finish, he was straightforward. He started and finished on time. He was always available for questions. His workers are very skilled, professional and polite. When there were extras, they were agreed upon in advance and handled fairly. He did exactly what he said he'd do. The even raked and cleaned up the yard around the house before they left. I highly recommend Bel Islands Home Improvements.
We hired Bel Islands Home Improvement to strip off the existing roof and replace/recoat it. The roof had two distinct sections: a large section of conventional asphalt shingles and a smaller section of rolled asphalt roofing. The scope of the large section included stripping the old shingles and replacing with subroofing and new asphalt shingles. Andrie Yamalovitch brought in a crew and completed those tasks in one day. The rolled roof was deemed to be in decent condition and could accept a rubberized coating. Andrei returned a few months later to complete that task. Note that since it was a liquid product it was necessary to wait until the warmer months. Overall, Bel Islands Home Improvement proceeded with the project in a professional and courteous manner and was a pleasure to deal with, and all at a fair price. I would recommend Bel Islands Home Improvement for any roofing project.
Andre is a great professional. Being in the midst of the pandemic, some supplies were not immediately available. However, he communicated consistently and clearly, setting realistic expectations that he would be able to meet. Andre was very easy to work with, polite, and considerate. We are extremely pleased with the quality of work done on our house. It LOOKS great, and is also high quality. I will be hiring Bel Islands again for future projects!
