Classic window specialist Inc

Classic Window Specialist is a Boston window restoration company founded in 2007 by Roberto A. Santos, focused on restoring rather than replacing windows — glass replacement, weatherstripping, and full mechanical restoration. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The review record is remarkably consistent — 24 reviews from 2024 to 2026, all five stars, with four in the past six months. The work described is specialized and specific: reviews describe restoring windows on a 100-year-old house, a full restoration of every window in a 130-year-old home, and a Queen Anne Victorian's original windows brought back to a standard reviewers call exceptional. Several reviews describe sash restoration and weatherstripping that leaves old, drafty windows genuinely airtight — one describes a window that had been 'about as useful as an open hole' restored to airtight condition. Multiple reviewers specifically note the fit for Boston's historic districts, including Beacon Hill and Back Bay, where original windows often need restoration rather than replacement. Roberto himself comes up in nearly every review — described as responsive, communicative, and providing itemized pricing breakdowns — and at least one reviewer describes using the company multiple times across windows, doors, and a porch. For a historic or older home in the Boston area with original windows in need of real restoration rather than replacement, the depth and specificity of praise across two dozen reviews, with no exceptions, makes a compelling case.
