Bender's Oil Service delivers fuel oil from Lebanon, and its website describes a family-owned business that also installs and services heating and air conditioning systems. The company says it has been in business for 70 years. In a local news piece, a co-owner described it as a business that has been in his family for more than 55 years. A recent customer says they replaced a furnace and mini split systems. A recent customer who called about no hot water says a technician was at the door within 20 minutes and had the problem solved in under an hour. A 2025 customer who lived in Willimantic said they had oil delivery from Bender's for the last few years and never ran out of oil. A 2023 customer said a technician found a boiler problem within 2 minutes and replaced the part. A 2023 reviewer said Tim and his crew came out 3 or 4 times over a furnace problem, found a cracked heat exchanger and replaced the part. A 2022 customer whose oil tank sprung a leak said they called at 9:15 am, a tech was on site by 10:00, and the tank was pumped out and secured by 2:30 that afternoon. A 2022 customer of over 30 years said they had replacement furnaces and oil tanks from the company. It also has a fuel pump: a 2025 customer said someone came out to greet them at the pump and filled the tank. A 2026 commenter on r/Connecticut wrote, "We use Benders." Its BBB page shows an A+ grade and accreditation.

“Co-owner of Bender’s Oil Service Inc., he said he thinks it would be tougher now for someone to start a business like the one that has been in his family for more than 55 years.”
What a great local company. They have replaced my furnace and mini split systems. Very professional and cost efficient in saving money for equipment, insulation and maintenance. Thanks for being family owned/operated and not private equity.
Our family has been a long time customer of Bender's Oil and have always been completed satisfied with the service. On Friday, July 3 I had to put in a call for no hot water, within 20 min a technician was at our door and had the problem solved in under an hour! So thankful to have Bender's Oil when we need them and all year round! Honest, Professional, absolutely the best.
They have a great place to go and get gas and convenient. 👍🏼🇵🇷

The customer service is excellent. When you pull up, somebody always comes to greet you at the pump and will fill up your tank for you. They’re always very kind and helpful. It’s a great place to stop before heading up to Storrs or Willimantic.
