Better Boston Electrical

Better Boston Electrical is a small Dorchester, MA operation run by Kevin Scarlett, doing residential wiring and fixture work — the kind of job a homeowner calls in after buying a fixer-upper or when something in the panel needs a second look. The strongest account on file, a February 2024 Thumbtack review, describes a full round of outlet replacements and new light fixtures installed in a newly purchased home, calling the result "beautiful and professionally done" and Scarlett himself easy to work with and quick to respond. A more recent review, from November 2024, credits him with showing up right away and correctly diagnosing an electrical problem. Not every account on record is as positive. An August 2024 review describes a no-show: the reviewer says Scarlett never arrived or followed up, calling the lost week a waste and declining to recommend him for a serious job. A short, enthusiastic "Amazing work" review from June 2024 offers no detail beyond that. With four reviews on a single platform and no license or service-area statement on record, there isn't much else to go on. Anyone lining up real electrical work with Better Boston Electrical would do well to confirm scheduling and follow-through before booking, given the no-show account.
