Bettinger Electric is a Plainville electrician that the company says Master Electrician Scott Bettinger has run as a small family business since August 2008. On Angi it shows 4.9 from 155 ratings, and its written reviews run from 2016 to 2025. The newest account is a September 2025 Angi review: Scott installed a bath fan and an exterior electrical outlet within a few hours at a fair price, and cleaned up afterwards. In May 2022, a customer said he replaced their electric panel, upgraded the service and wired their entire basement renovation for outlets and lighting; another that month described a panel upgraded from fuses to breakers. A 2019 reviewer said Scott did all the electrical work when they built their home. Price comes up in the older reviews from both directions. In a May 2017 review, a customer said they had quotes as high as $1500 to install 2 outside switches and Scott did them for $300 in 2 hours. A November 2017 reviewer called it a good company but very expensive. In a December 2016 review, he wired and installed a dining-room chandelier, replaced 2 ceiling fans with new lighting and fixed a bathroom exhaust fan. A July 2016 customer gave 4.5 rather than 5 because he cancelled the first appointment 30 minutes before he was supposed to arrive. The Better Business Bureau gives the business an A+. Angi and HomeAdvisor list trade license number 21532.
Scott was great, offered a fair price, was flexible for scheduling, and finished the job quickly and well. We had a Bath fan install + an exterior electrical outlet installed and he was able to get it done within a few hours. The install looks clean and he took care to clean up afterwards too. Great work Scott! Thank you!
Scott did a great job. We had our electric panel upgraded from fuses to breakers. The job was done quickly and correctly.
We would recommend Scott in a heartbeat! Wow, he did a great job on the many different electrical projects we threw at him. He was fast, beyond fairly priced, courteous, and professional! He replaced our electric panel, upgraded the service, and wired our entire basement renovation for outlets and lighting. I can't imagine ever going with anyone else for any of our electrical needs!
SCOTT ARRIVED EARLY FOR OUR APPT. WHICH WAS MADE ON THE SAME DAY . HE FIXED THE PROBLEM VERY TIMELY AND AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM AND I WILL DEFINITELY USE HIM IN THE FUTURE.
Scott did all the electrical work when we built our home. He is now the only guy I call when I need anything done with electricity.
