Bluechip Builders is a general contractor whose website names Norton, Attleboro, Mansfield, Foxborough, Walpole, Stoughton, Sharon, Easton, Taunton, Franklin, Newton, Needham, Wellesley, Dedham and Norwood as its service area. BuildZoom lists its licence number as CS-118410. In a 2026 Google review of an additions build, the writer says BlueChip was communicative, transparent and forward thinking, and stood out among the four companies they interviewed because of its in-house 3D modeling and drafting services. Another 2026 review calls Sam a very professional and experienced builder. In an earlier 2026 review, they demoed the writer's previous stairs and addressed rot, and the writer said they love the new door and front steps. In a 2025 Google review, BlueChip helped convert a three-season porch into an office space, framing out new walls with new posts, windows, cedar shakes and sheathing, redoing the subfloor and installing a new pocket door entry. That 2025 reviewer called them very responsive and accommodating to changes along the way. In a 2025 Thumbtack review, Sam was the only contractor among the builders interviewed who walked the house and explained what needed to be done and which wood did not need replacing. That 2025 reviewer then hired him to replace the shingles with James Hardy composite, and wrote that they showed when they said they would and completed the work on time. In another 2025 review, they finished a basement, kept the writer up to date on their progress and accommodated design changes. A 2025 Thumbtack review says they built a custom shed on the writer's RI property. In a 2024 Thumbtack review, BlueChip replaced broken garage door support beams that another contractor had repaired incorrectly, and the writer then hired them to relocate an outlet and patch and paint a wall. A 2025 Thumbtack review called the communication atrocious: after the proposal was signed, the writer heard nothing from Sam for weeks, and crews would show up and leave at random times. That 2025 reviewer called the work generally ok, but said the painting was spotty, some outlets no longer fit on the wall after the reframing, and the house was left extremely dirty while they worked. The same 2025 review says that at the end Sam accused the writer of not wanting to pay, although the writer paid in full.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Bluechip Builders. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

It was such a pleasure working with sam . Very professional and experienced builder. High quality is his main priority which is everything. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to build a home or remodeling it. You wont be disappointed!
BlueChip was communicative, transparent, and forward thinking through out our additions build. We interviewed four companies. And they stood out because of their in house 3d modeling, and drafting services. Sam is easy going and good to work with. Consider them for your next job
Bluechip crew was very professional and attentive while working on our house. We love our new door and front steps. They demoed our previous stairs, addressed rot, and transformed the front of our house.
I was absolutely elated with Samuel and Blue Chip. They built me a custom shed on my RI property and the quality of the project is next level!! Blue Chip is exceptional in design, materials, quality and price!! I could not be happier with their work!!!
Given his google review response, adding pics of the trackable lack of communication/lack of payment he was accusing me of. His google response also accused me of "avoiding the conversation of final payment on three separate occasions" which is clearly a lie. Will add pics of how "clean" they leave their workspace later. Their work is ok. The communication is atrocious. At the beginning, Sam was on top of it, even calling me at 8 pm on a Friday wanting me to sign the proposal. Once I signed it, I heard nothing at all from him for weeks. Once they got started on the project, the crews would show up and leave at any random time without any communication at all. One of the workers would walk out the door, say nothing, and never come back. Near the end of the project, the main guy who was working at my house told me three days in a row he thought they could finish that day, but didn't. He asked to come back on Saturday to finish, and then 2.5 hours after we agreed for him to come by, he asked if he could come by later (it was already 430pm on a Saturday). Sam then asked when they could come back. I asked if Monday would be ok-he never responded or acknowledged my text message, and then randomly, people show up at like noon wanting to work. Outside of wanting money, the communication is awful. In regard to the actual work: it was generally ok. The painting is spotty and will require someone to fix some areas. Some of the outlets don't fit on the wall anymore after they reframed and built out the wall. They also left the house extremely dirty for the duration of the time they were working (several weeks off and on). At the end of the project, Sam asked me about everything, I explained what I had been frustrated about, and then he accused me of not wanting to pay (literally never said I wouldn't pay). He got very defensive despite me paying in full.
