Bluestone Construction, Inc works out of 1050 Williams Street in North Dighton, Massachusetts, with a headquarters address listed across the state line at 140 Bluestone Dr, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and Steven J Reed named as owner. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, number 193672, is verified as active in the state registry. The permit record is the substance of what's public: 23 permitted projects, spanning ordinary residential work and commercial jobs. That is a real, documented workload, but almost none of it is described by the people who paid for it. The one written account on file is a hard one. In a June 2022 review of a $68,000 smoke-damage restoration, a homeowner wrote that they were "Charged for things Not Done," that the contractor never returned for a final inspection, and that promised fixes never happened — "He was a No Show on Multiple Occasions. Now he won't even Answer the Phone for Me." The specific defects listed were bubbles in the paint, an unfinished bathroom, cracking grout, and paint over woodwork. BuildZoom's page carries that as a 1-star rating from a single review. BuildZoom also lists a second Home Improvement Contractor registration for the company, number 118211, as inactive, noting its status was at one point cancelled — worth asking about alongside the active registration. If you are considering this company for insurance-restoration or remodel work, the questions to ask are about the close-out: get the punch list and final-inspection walkthrough written into the contract with a holdback tied to it, ask for references from jobs completed in the last year, and confirm registration 193672 directly with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
Gregg Came across as a Honest Man. Well Wrong. I was Charged for things Not Done. Then he Never returned to do his final Inspection. There are So Many things in my Home that where Not Done Correctly & Gregg Promised he’d be back to Fix them. I’ve called him Many times & he Kept telling me he’d be over. He was a No Show on Multiple Occasions. Now he won’t even Answer the Phone for Me. From a 1-10 Score 1 being the Lowest I’d give him a 2. Bubbles in the Paint Bathroom not Finished Grout all Cracking Over Paint on Wood Work The 2 bathroom the Painter totally Missed begin toilet about 2 Ins on each side. I could go On.
