BM Flooring

BM Flooring has installed hardwood, laminate, carpet and vinyl flooring out of Norwood since 2003, according to its Better Business Bureau file, and owner Brandon Mills has run it the whole time. The company carries an A+ letter grade from the Bureau, though it has never sought formal accreditation there. Its written record is thin: three reviews, all posted to that same BBB page, and the story splits. Two describe installation crews who worked quickly and got positive marks from the customers who hired them; a third, from someone who came to the company through the LL Flooring retail partnership, said the experience reflected badly on the store. Its BuildZoom listing adds a wrinkle worth asking about directly: the licenses attached to it are a Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, a Rhode Island contractor license BuildZoom hasn't reconfirmed since 2021, an inactive Pennsylvania license, and a federal EPA renovation credential — nothing for Massachusetts. Floor-covering-only contractors aren't required to hold a Massachusetts home improvement registration, so the absence alone isn't unusual, but it's worth confirming which of those other-state licenses, if any, actually cover work done locally. For a straightforward hardwood, laminate, carpet or vinyl install in the Norwood area, the two-decade history and BBB grade are worth something — just ask for a few references given how few reviews are on the public record, and get clarity on current licensing before booking.
