Bonanno Contracting

Bonanno Contracting is a small Dracut outfit with an unusually wide job sheet for its size — kitchens and baths, decks, basements, tile and laminate floors, windows, siding, demolition, even wheelchair ramps — at stated job costs running from about $500 up to $100,000. Its own Houzz page names Nick as the person to call and puts the coverage across the Merrimack Valley: Methuen, Lawrence, Haverhill, Lowell, Andover and Dracut, plus the New Hampshire border towns of Pelham, Windham and Salem. What isn't there is a track record you can read. The page carries a 5.0 average from two ratings and not one review body, so there is nothing behind the number for a homeowner to weigh — and only two projects are on display, a deck in Lowell and a house over the line in Plaistow, New Hampshire. The credentials are the company's own word. Houzz prints a construction supervisor number, CSL-106341, but the home improvement contractor line beside it reads "HIC-" with no number at all, and the OSHA, hoisting and HIC claims sit in the profile's awards field rather than anywhere a homeowner can check them. Worth a call if you want one person handling a deck, a floor or a basement in the Lowell-Methuen corridor. Ask for the HIC registration number and a couple of recent job addresses before you sign anything.
