Bos Tile Inc

Two full bathrooms, finished in three and a half days: that is what a Thumbtack customer wrote in a 2022 review, and speed keeps coming up in what people say about Bos Tile. A customer writing in May 2025 supplied the other half of it — the work was "done quick but certainly not rushed." Bruno de Oliveira Sousa runs the company from Winthrop Street in Medford, with jobs on its Houzz page reaching Boston, Woburn and Nashua, New Hampshire. Tile is the trade — ceramic and porcelain installation, backsplashes, tile floors, repairs — and full bathroom remodels are the projects that tile usually lands in. Thumbtack lists eight employees, 45 hires, Top Pro status in 2023 and 2024, and a completed background check. The written accounts run from 2020 into spring 2025. In an April 2025 review a customer had an estimate within 24 hours, work starting the following week, and the whole job done in a week and a half; that reviewer and another writing in April 2025 both mentioned Bruno picking up materials they had forgotten to buy. A September 2024 Angi reviewer looked hard at the finish work and described every tile and grout line perfectly aligned. In a 2024 Houzz review, a homeowner said his number came in the most reasonable of the eight bathroom contractors they asked for quotes. Back in a 2020 Houzz review, a customer had a tub swapped and tile work done, and wrote that he started that same week. Two things to raise before booking. Across 39 Thumbtack ratings, 97 percent sit at five stars and 3 percent at one star. And the experience claims do not agree with each other: Angi's highlights say eight years while its own service list says more than 15, Houzz says 12, and Thumbtack's page says 16 years in business against About text saying 12 — worth asking how long the company has operated in its current form. Angi's profile also says free estimates, warranties and emergency service are not offered, so settle what an estimate visit involves and what happens on a callback before work starts. Spanish is spoken. For a bathroom gut-and-retile on a tight schedule — especially in a one-bathroom house, where every day without it counts — this is a crew whose customers describe fast starts and tight grout lines. Pin the tile allowance, the start date and the callback terms into the written quote.
