Bostonian Remodeling is based at 46 7th Street in Medford and advertises kitchen and bath remodeling alongside painting and other home renovation work. BuildZoom identifies Aguimar Desouza as the owner; its profile lists 67 projects and a 3/5 rating from six reviews. Angi shows a 0.5/5 rating from two reviews, while BBB gives the business an A+ grade but publishes no customer-review star rating. These ratings describe different platforms and should be read separately. Customers who reviewed completed work gave mixed accounts. In 2017, Angie praised the design ideas and finished kitchen renovation; in 2018, Aretha praised the color and finishing touches on a bathroom renovation. Other dated accounts raise concerns about incomplete projects, missed calls, missed appointments, and cleanup. In 2018, Ben H. described a bathroom project that remained unfinished after seven months, and in 2019 Crystal B. described an unfinished basement remodel. A 2021 Angi review criticized workmanship and cleanup on a deck job. These are historical reports, not recent descriptions of current work. Before booking, ask for a written schedule, milestone payments, references for comparable kitchen or bath work, and a clear plan for handling corrections and cleanup. BuildZoom lists construction supervisor license CS-106939 as active and home improvement contractor registration 169655 as inactive. A 2021 public record reports that registrations 169655 and 196704 were revoked for failure to pay an administrative fine and default on a payment plan. Confirm current registration and license standing directly with Massachusetts before signing. The company may suit homeowners seeking a Medford-area kitchen or bathroom remodel who are comfortable checking recent references and confirming licensing first. Ask for a current scope, completion date, and contact details for recent customers before work begins.

The contractor did not return phone calls, did not show up to the site, did not clean up, the job is the worst I have ever seen. Azek railings were put upside down and crooked; the new stranger was also put crooked, leaving a big slop on the stairs. They had to subcontract someone else to fix their mistakes. We had to hire some one else to pick up the debrief they left in our yard for a month and a half. In the back deck they attached a post to a rotten been that the were supposed to change and then is when we fire them because we were done dealing with them.
Zero Stars. Horrible experience. Exactly the same as described by Ben H. He basically took a 6 week project and didn't complete it and we are in month 7. He uses delay tactics to drag out the job hoping you will eventually fire him once you've paid a good amount of money on the contract. Save yourself the grief and do not hire him.
Agiu and his crew did a terrific job. Great customer service. I was so excited with the final result of my main bath renovation. Color looks great and the finishing touches made all the difference. Highly recommend Bostonian remodeling INC.
Would not recommend. We initially went with Augie because he seemed to truly care about his work, and achieving the vision of his clients. We were told the job should last 2-3 weeks (bathroom renovation). We then spent several months with minimal work being done, calling daily without any calls being returned, or other communication. It even seemed Augie's team had a hard time getting in touch with him, which left us with the task of directing them on the project - something we hired a GC to avoid doing in the first place. It has now been seven months and the job is still incomplete. We haven't heard from Augi since February and are quite frankly tired of chasing him to try to get this job finished appropriately. In addition to the job not being 100% finished, the grout on our brand new tile floor keeps cracking, despite being retouched twice now, and doesn't feel level - which leaves us worried that we'll need to re-do the floors we just paid to have re-done in the near future. Augi is a nice guy, and we really wanted this to work - the few times we were able to get in touch with him or see him in person he seemed to care about the quality of the job - and making helpful suggestions - we just are totally worn out from having to drive this project forwards ourselves.
