BWalsh is a one-man plastering and handyman business run by Bertie Walsh out of Braintree, and the reviews describe a contractor who shows up, does the job, and charges a fair price for it. Angi and HomeAdvisor list him as Approved/accredited, both showing 4.9 stars from 31 ratings, and the company says it has 26 years of experience. Most of what people hired him for is plaster and drywall work: ceiling and wall repairs, redoing a garage ceiling a previous contractor had botched, and smoothing walls after damage. Reviewers from 2014 through 2019 describe him as responsive from the first call, quick to give an estimate, and careful about leaving the job site clean. In a 2015 review, one homeowner said Bertie caught a real problem left behind by an earlier contractor before finishing the repair himself. He's also taken on smaller handyman jobs over the years, from installing grab bars and a new thermostat to repairing a gate and fence pickets. Worth knowing: its written record runs mostly 2014 to 2019, with just one review from 2025. What's there is consistently positive and specific, but there isn't much recent volume to draw on. For plaster repair, ceiling work, or a small handyman job around Braintree, the reviews on file describe someone reliable and reasonably priced — it's worth asking directly about current availability given how little recent activity there is.

I Hired Bertie to replace a water damaged wall. He was very responsive. The job went very well. Bertie is knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He also did some unplanned masonry work that needed to be done and did a great job on all. His cost was very reasonable. I would definitely use him again.
It went well. Bertie Walsh is a nice guy. He did the job and the cost was reasonable
Bertie came out to look at the gate on a Wednesday night. He pointed out that he could also replace some wooden pickets on the fence which I needed to have done but didn't think about asking him as getting the gate repaired was more important. He came out on Friday morning and repaired the gate and replaced pickets as well as secure a section of fencing. He did a great job. Bertie was very polite and punctual. He kept in contact with me the entire time. I would definitely hire Bertie again and I highly recommend him.
Awesome, barely any sanding. Very very clean and I'm not doing joint myself every again as long as I can hire him!
