C & R Flooring has run out of Westwood since 1986, when owner Chris Zizza started it as a side job doing sand-and-finish work before building it into a full residential and commercial hardwood, luxury vinyl, and cork flooring business. The company says it's been at it 37 years and serves Westwood, Weston, Boston, Milton, and Newport, R.I. Within the wood-flooring trade, Zizza is a recognized name: an NWFA Hall of Famer who has chaired the National Wood Flooring Association's board and now its Certified Professionals Board, and who co-hosts the NWFA's Real Answers podcast. He was a 2013 Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipient, and the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston gave the company its 2013 PRISM Community Spirit award. The company also says its installers are Bona Certified Craftsmen, NWFA-certified, and hold a Massachusetts lead-removal certification.
