C. Walsh Builder markets its work as Walsh Builders, offering home remodeling so people can reimagine their space "without leaving your neighborhood." It self-reports 20 years in business, offers free estimates, and lists a service area that includes Milford, Wellesley, Medfield, Hopkinton, Weston, Needham and Newton. Recent work includes renovating a barn from the 1800s for modern use as a yoga studio, after which the same client hired Walsh Builders to gut and renovate a master bathroom; on that project Mike Walsh was "always prompt with communication" and took quick ownership when issues came up. Another recent project covered a brand-new kitchen, a half bath and a deck. Chris renovated a basement, adding a full bath, a full kitchen renovation, a garage addition and some plumbing work, and turned an older Cape home into a wide open living space with a family room attached, where "the price was right." A garage remodel was "smooth and easy," and a remodeled bathroom drew praise for a friendly, responsive team. In a 2025 review, Walsh Builders expanded a primary bathroom and installed a new tile floor and shower, new fixtures and a new vanity, along with painting and electrical. In another 2025 review, Mike Walsh and his team took two bathrooms down to the studs and rebuilt them with new plumbing, tile, vanities and built-ins, finishing in roughly the time frame he estimated. In a 2023 review, Chris helped with the needs of an older home on a new kitchen that came in within budget. In a 2020 review under the name Boston Realty Development, Chris Walsh and his team handled a load-bearing wall removal, a complete kitchen remodel, windows, flooring and renovations of both full bathrooms. In a 2017 review, Chris Walsh and his crew upgraded a failing wooden deck and railings. On one recent job, Chris "couldn't finish the job with no explanation" and was a no show day after day. On another recent job he was not able to complete the work and another contractor was hired to finish it; that client also wrote that the electrician forgot to turn the power back on and left the property unsecured at the end of the day. In a 2017 review, a bathroom remodel planned for 5 days took 8.
Chris started out strong but couldn?t finish the job with no explanation. Told me he?d come over and was a no show day after day. I will not hire him again. He did remodel my kitchen 4 years ago but timeliness was an issue then too.
Chris was great to work with. He renovated our basement adding a full bath, full kitchen Reno, garage addition and some plumbing work.
Chris turned our older Cape home to an awesome wide open living space with a great family room attached , the price was right work was clean on time on budget . We love it !!!
Chris loves what he does. He was very hands on at the beginning. He?s very good at creative designing and modeling. He helped me expand my design from what the designer had provided. He also helped me pick just the right colors and materials-I love the way my kitchen and my bathrooms look. However he was not able to complete the job. I had to hire another contractor to complete the job. His plumber- Marc was very responsive and efficient, a true professional. However, the Electrician was careless- he forgets to turn the power back on, and leaves the property unsecured at the end of the day. Very unprofessional.
Mike and his team are friendly, respectful, and very responsive. They are committed to doing a great job and making sure the customer is satisfied. And we love our remodeled bathroom!
