Cabinet Cures of Boston, based in North Billerica, Massachusetts, is a franchise of the national Cabinet Cures cabinet-refacing and refinishing system. The location has been run since 2022 by owner Pierre Couture, a former software engineer, alongside designer Valerie Dwyer and production manager John Field; it was originally started roughly a decade earlier by Jeff and Raffi under the guidance of company founder Kelly Koch. The company refaces and refinishes kitchen cabinets — offering a range of stain and lacquer finishes plus custom drawer boxes and rollout storage — and says its work is done by its own employees at its North Billerica production facility, serving towns across eastern Massachusetts including Boston, Cambridge, Newton, Wellesley and Andover. Homeowners who hired Cabinet Cures describe a consistent, detailed experience across nearly a decade of reviews on Angi and HomeAdvisor. Reviewers repeatedly single out designer Valerie Dwyer for patient, knowledgeable consultations and crews who protect floors and countertops, clean up daily, and finish jobs on schedule — several describe the whole process, from estimate to installation, taking about five days. Multiple reviewers also mention owner Pierre Couture personally following up on their projects. In a 2023 review, a homeowner reported rippling paint about eighteen months after installation; the same review describes Pierre coming out to resolve the issue to the customer's satisfaction. Across Angi and HomeAdvisor's shared review pool the company holds a 4.9-star average from 65 ratings, and a separate Thumbtack profile — backed by a background check on Pierre Couture — shows 4.8 stars from 25 ratings. Before booking, ask about the workmanship warranty and how finish issues are handled if they surface after installation, since the one documented complaint concerned exactly that. It's also worth asking how long this specific North Billerica location has operated: its own site describes a roughly decade-old start under prior owners before Pierre Couture's 2022 purchase, a shorter history than the '30 years in business' figure the same site states, which appears to describe the national franchise rather than this location. For homeowners in the Boston area who want an existing kitchen's footprint kept but its cabinets modernized, Cabinet Cures brings a long, consistently well-reviewed track record in refacing and refinishing — confirm current pricing, exact finish options and warranty terms during the free in-home consultation.

Working with Cabinet cures for our kitchen renovation has been the best decision we’ve ever made for our home.
Cabinet Cures did a great job from start to finish. Joe and John were very meticulous in doing all the pre-measuring all the way through the construction, including the very meticulous finish work, which I need to give a shout out to Joe who is an excellent finish carpenter. Valerie was very informative when she came and gave us an estimate and was very responsive with any questions we had. The owner Pierre is very hands-on which was a very nice touch from a customer experience aspect. we had a couple tricky areas in the kitchen and due to their knowledge and experience, and they’re fine attention to detail every aspect of of the job far exceeded our expectations. we would highly recommend them and would like to thank all the crew for doing such a great job for us
Excellent experience from the design phase with Valerie to the construction stage with John and Joe. They did a great job refacing the cabinets in our kitchen.
We were so happy with the work that the Cabinet Cures team did! I love my new kitchen! Refacing is the way to go if your cabinets are in good shape and you like your footprint - you get an entirely new look with less time and money.
Original Review :"The cabinets are wonderful, the work was timely and efficient. BUT, after a year and a half, the paint is rippling. I have called and emailed with only one response saying a tech would contact me. That was over a month ago. I will happily change my review if they follow-up and stand by their work." If you saw my earlier review about damage, please ignore. Pierre from Cabinet Cures came today and resolved all my issues . Excellent product and excellent service. I just needed to be a little more patient!
