Canales Carpentry LLC is a carpentry and remodeling company that, by its own account, has done carpentry for the last 20 years in Fairfield County, went out on its own in 2009, and now takes on new construction as well as remodels. A 2025 customer said Juan renovated their home in Fairfield, CT in 3 weeks before they moved in, covering a new Azek deck, new window trim, interior painting, ceiling fan and chandelier installation, a backsplash, fence installation and stump removal. That 2025 customer said the job stayed within their budget and the initial estimate, and that when a plumbing problem came up after they settled in, he sent someone over immediately. A 2025 reviewer said water falling from their first-floor ceiling led to a renovation of the second-floor bathroom, new flooring and a whole-house paint job, done while they had to move out. That 2025 reviewer said Juan promised they would be home for Thanksgiving, and they moved back the Saturday before. Windows come into it too. A 2025 customer described years of water leaks that no one else could fix, and said Juan and his crew removed and reinstalled the large window and solved the problem. A 2022 customer said the company replaced most of the windows in their house, with the owner helping select windows and materials beforehand and the team cleaning up all debris after the job. A 2025 customer said that as they got ready to sell their condos, Juan handled everything from paint to kitchen repairs and cleaning, plus an emergency HVAC repair. A 2024 customer said they had worked with Canales Carpentry for over 8 years on numerous projects and called Juan transparent on costs. A 2025 customer referred by a realtor said the firm handled house repairs and interior refinishing and was fairly priced. The company holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. A recent Reddit commenter recommends it, citing great work and great communication.

You will not find a better or more accommodating contractor/carpenter around. His work is impeccable and his team is as professional as they come. We have worked with a few before them but none compare to Juan and his team. I highly encourage you to give them a chance and you won’t be disappointed. Thanks again!!
Juan completed a total renovation of my son’s Stamford apartment during Covid. Real high quality work on every element of the project. Since then we’ve used him for several projects in our Fairfield home & have been thrilled with the quality of workmanship by his team. Highly recommend!
Juan and his team are a well oiled machine. We have now used him multiple times and have had nothing but positive experiences. As we were ready to sell our condos Juan went in and was able to handle everything top to bottom from paint to kitchen repairs, top to bottom cleaning and even saved the day with an emergency hvac repair. He is kind, hardworking, fair and efficient with quality work. Would highly recommend!
Juan renovated our home in Fairfield, CT this summer prior to us moving in and we couldn’t be happier with his work. After speaking with several contractors, we chose Juan over any of the others because of his attention to detail during the initial walkthrough. He noticed things that others didn’t, and that stood out to us. He completed the renovations in 3 weeks, which included both interior and exterior renovations, such as a new Azek deck, new window trim, interior painting, fan installation, chandelier/ceiling fan installation, backsplash installation, fence installation, and stump removal. His team was able to do it all with zero complications, while staying within our budget and his initial estimate, and the work was high quality. Even after his team completed the work and we are now settled into the house, we had a plumbing problem and he sent someone over immediately to help with that. We would recommend Juan to anyone looking for a quality contractor and will continue to use him for projects in the future.
Canales Carpentry is the best! I say that as a DIY homeowner who has built furniture and as the grandson of a master carpenter. I found Juan by noticing the details of work he was doing in my neighborhood and the recommendation of others. I agree with everything in the other reviews here - neatness, cleaning up during and after the job, reliable, dedicated, timely, and so easy to work with. I would only add that he is the expert on windows for new installation or, in my case, reinstallation of existing units. I had years of water leaks that no one else was able to fix, and I thought the large, very expensive window would need to be replaced. Instead, Juan and his crew completely removed and reinstalled the window and solved the problem. They have performed many other jobs for us over the past several years and I would never consider using anyone else. Also, trust his advice!
