Cape Ann Kitchens is a showroom business first: you come in, work out a kitchen or bath layout, and the cabinets, vanities and countertops get ordered, delivered and installed. Tricia McInnis opened it in 2005 in Gloucester with her husband Scott, a general contractor, and the company says it later grew into the larger Stoneham showroom on Main Street it runs now — 21 years by its own count, the same figure its Better Business Bureau page carries beside an A+ grade. The written accounts stop in 2018. An interior designer writing on Houzz in 2017 had Tricia and Scott renovate a kitchen and turn a three-season porch into a family room, and said the job came in on budget. A 2018 visitor to the showroom described helpful staff and just about every configuration for kitchens and baths on the floor. Houzz carries seven projects across Gloucester, Hamilton, Wakefield, Lynnfield, Sudbury and Andover. The complaint on file is specific and worth raising. A customer writing in March 2018 said two slow-close cabinet drawers never worked properly and several had cracks, that they had reached out to the owner and her contractor husband many months earlier, and that the repairs still had not happened. One account, eight years old — but it is about the part of a cabinet job that comes after the installers leave. The company's own stated service area is Stoneham, Melrose, Reading and Andover, a tighter ring than the towns in the Houzz portfolio. This suits a homeowner who wants to sit down over a layout and have one shop carry it from design through cabinet ordering to installation. Ask what happens if a drawer or door needs adjusting once the install is done, and get the warranty and callback terms in writing before anything is ordered.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Cape Ann Kitchens LLC. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

Very helpful staff. They have pretty much every configuration for kitchens and baths. I couldn't be happier with the service and selection
Two of my slow close kitchen cabinet drawers have never worked appropriately. We reached out to the owner and her contractor husband many months ago, but they have yet to repair them. Several also have cracks. The owner also seemed to have her own agenda from the start as to what cabinet and counter tops to choose.
I am an interior designer and worked with Tricia and Scott to completely renovate a kitchen and turn a 3 season porch into a family room. They were professional, timely and came in on budget. You can see the pictures of their work on my houzz page. Would highly recommend. Kim Roberts Interiors
Decent place for cabinetry.
Attn: Barbara & Alex Caruso Cape Ann Kitchens We are writing to express our sincerest appreciation in helping us to realize the kitchen of our dreams! When Ted and I bought our home six years ago, we did so knowing that one day we would expand and renovate our kitchen space. When the time came to execute on that goal, we were very thorough during the "due diligence" process, interviewing kitchen designers, general contractors & design/build companies. We selected Cape Ann Kitchens based on not only the level of confidence we had in their ability to help us navigate through the process of renovation, but in our immediate comfort level and "connection" we felt towards the people we would ultimately be working with. From the very beginning stages where we pulled out virtually years worth of clippings from home magazines and other sources of inspiration – we felt that Barbara really "got it" with regards to our vision for our new kitchen. And although we were quite organized and assumed we had thought of everything – it was highly beneficial to have the guidance of a professional kitchen planner/designer for such an important room in our home. Barbara pointed out things concerning the usage and flow of our space that we hadn't previously considered, allowing us to maximize the efficiency of our kitchen, while also creating multiple "zones" for various needs within the room. She worked with us extensively and went through several iterations of our design vision before finalizing our plans, and we are thrilled with the end result! On the General Contractor side of the equation, it was truly one of the best experiences we've ever had. Having undertaken many construction projects in the past (including the building of a new home, a second floor addition to our previous home & other major renovations) we were familiar with "the process". We understood the impact that having no kitchen for a few months would have on our family, and expecte
